Think I read on a Newcastle forum that June 23 was the final day. Might be wrong but that's what I recall.
Yes. Only have to look as far as last year's Gvardiol thread where he mentioned his release clause like a million times. "He's potential only and we can just wait to trigger his release class in 2024."This Ray fella has to be on a wind up right? Melting my brain.
Nope not this time. I am not so sure Newcastle would have agreed the contract extension if they had any real intention in moving him on this summer. This Ray fella has to be on a wind up right? Melting my brain.
Nope not this time. I am not so sure Newcastle would hsve agreed the contract extension if they had any real intention in moving him on this summer.
We not just do this for Silva?Nope not this time. I am not so sure Newcastle would have agreed the contract extension if they had any real intention in moving him on this summer.
Again they could have not extended his contract and fixed a better fee for themselves this summer. They’re not selling him because they want to though, are they?
They’re selling because they need the money to fund new transfers and they wouldn’t have known their precise financial situation or the cost to acquire their targets until the end of the season.
All the clause does is define a price at which Newcastle are comfortable to sell as it’s above market valuation. Then it is up to the player. I doubt Bruno G would want to move away from Newcastle, barring a handful of elite clubs.Nope not this time. Difference is Silva had been at the club for more than one season. Loyalty is a two way thing. We not just do this for Silva?
