I prefer BT coverage except for owen and if it means no more tyler sneering his way through our games then even better
I dont see how taking Champions League football from 100% of the country to 14% of the country is a good thing even if we did have to listen to Clive and his glorious wank in Barcelona.
People will not sign up to BT for the CL and 38 PL games a season. Sky have been going 20 years and have a far superior program line up overall and have just over 10 million people. They only had 500,000 people sign up before the free BT Sports with broadband deal. Everyone can hate what they want and on bluemoon its Sky but it also being taken away from the people who just have freeview

This would leave BT with all C/L,,I think Europa too, and FA cup and one P/L package. Sky would be left with 3 P/L packages if BT take another Premier League package next time it would leave them as the main football broadcaster.
The advantage they have is as well as subscribers they have the more means to provide games on a one off pay /veiw or free to air to non subscribers that Sky don't have. Mainly because they can use either broadband or their channels on freeveiw and youveiw.
Think also they are more likely to strike deals with the BBC than ITV as well.

Sky can do all that you have mentioned there. Very good reason they got involved in the broadband scene and started buying up other companies. I was watching Premier League football on my phone the other day so its not like BT are the forefront of technology and they also have there noses in 2 of these smart boxes that are being released. Considering they have lost the CL (nobody cares about Europa not even the fans involved) means Sky will be going balls to the wall to keep the Prem right armed with cash they didn't just spend on CL as well.
Either way I couldn't give 2 fucks about either company as long as I get Simpsons and football I couldn't care if they destroy each other. I am more bothered that CL has been allowed to come off freeview as I think its a joke. We can all applaud BT for giving us Anderlect vs Rubin Kazan on freeview when it happens im sure all 2 viewers will enjoy it

Only way to prevent is not to subscribe. Itv should have games because it means access for those who simply cannot afford sky tv or subscription channels. They need to make sure that sport is made available to everyone. Being a closed cartel won't benefit football in the long run so this is why We need top football on terrestrial tv !

I won't buy bt sports

Sacking off Sky, getting a fibre broadband connection and an XBMC setup is looking more and more attractive.

No cl football at home for me then. I simply can't afford that and I'm betting neither can many others

Think this is good news on balance. Bt will be true to their word and offer it cheaper than sky. BTs opening strategy of offering games this season to broadband subscribers like me was a move I could never imagine Sky doing: 'free sky sports if u have sky broadband' - unlikely.

I think £900 mill compared to £2.3 billion for prem is about the right balance tbh. I'd say in terms of the ratio of the number of attractive games I'd actively want to watch in each competetion as viewer a season, thats about right.

Added to the 38 prem games BT already have, if their subscription is cheaper than sky's, which it will be, it'll be by far the better option of the two to buy.

I really hope not, BT sport is a disaster, Michael owen and Mark Halsey...are you kidding me, and what a ridiculous studio they got. Talk about trying to do something on the cheap....
Better off subscribing to LFC tv anyway, at least their Liverpool bias is expected.

Sky sport were a shambles when first on air not to mention Screensport and Eurosport the original Satellite sports channels. BT will get better, Michael Owen is a mistake as his first love is the Ponies and his football career later stages were to fund his love of the ponies not for the love of football.

give them a chance to grow

but in 2015 the new rights will come in for the prem games and I would think that BT will get more games

Have had Sky Sports since early 90's and it would be like watching Crossroads at times in the early days (remember cheerleaders at night games!).
BT are a serious player and will be doping their audience research to find out what their faults are and they will rectify them in time.
If Owen is a problem, he goes when contract ends. Same with Halsey.
It may not be perfect in 2015..no pleasing everyone..but there will certainly be changes mostly for the better.
