Budget 2024

Let’s all pretend to be cross party, what are people hoping from this budget?

Do we want money rebuilding our public services or are we more worried about our own funds?

Personally, I’d like to see a start to alleviating the housing shortage, especially in the social sector. NHS, schools and Defence, a start on them would be good, as well as some mitigation for the change in WFA payments.

I’m mildly concerned about the opaqueness of “working person”.

I’m self employed via a limited company. Fully expecting to be fucked and treated as if I’m Logan Roy.

I was / am a supporter of Starmer and Reeves, and am firmly of the Tony Blair wing of politics but if they come after small business owners I’ll never vote for them again.

All depends upon whether you’re a working person or not.

If you are then you’ve nothing to worry about.

If you aren’t then you deserve it.

Not that the current Labour Party would ever peddle some absurd and divisive nonsense of course.

All the signs say they’re going to jack up tax on dividends, which will make me poorer.
