Budget 2024

You do have to think of where all the money went? Huge national debt, centralised funding cut, councils going bust and every public sector area in critical decline, you can sort of see what their plan was, and it wasn’t one for the benefit of the people.

Windfall taxes on huge profits for the likes of Insurance companies and Supermarkets who are still increasing price’s despite, we are told, that inflation is running at around 5%.

Supermarkets are are so fucking sneaky as well, as an example I used to buy a 4 pack of Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice for £5 in Morrison’s, it’s not available as a multi pack at the moment but a single carton is £1.85, that’s a 48% increase, robbing bastards.

What a joke.

Now let's get something straight. Jeremy Hunt isn't an idiot. He might be far from perfect but he's not one of the Truss/Braverman/Patel/Johnson loons. Along with Cameron he is as close to a grown-up as this government have got.

Surely to Christ he must know that where the country is right now, the public are far more interested in how the government plan to rescue our crumbing public services and economy than being given a few pennies from on high through a NI cut. It's mental.

A tax cut budget is a classic pre-election roll of the dice but Hunt and Sunak must know it's going to make absolutely no difference at best for them, and might actually move the needle even further down as it's yet more evidence the government are out of step with the priorities of the public.

It's just further evidence that they've completely exhausted all ideas and have no vision or strategy whatsoever.
