He is at the tip of the spear of a very young team that has surprised the entire league by leading it when most experts predicted us to finish 6th and struggle.

Saka is part of a quartet with Saliba, Odegaard, Martinelli - players that low key cruise under the radar, but in reality are exceptionally high performers with fantastic work ethics and attitudes to match.

You’re top of the league, and good on you, you’re playing some great football and it’s exciting when your team’s been in the doldrums for a while. We used to have a Gooner on here who insisted Oezil was better than David Silva just because he made a decent start one season, the rest is history. That’s right - we’re very delicate us blues - we can’t have supporters from other clubs coming on here and giving opinions that are at odds with ours.

Because why would we? Why would we promise to sell Saka to you? Your reward for selling us Jesus and Zinchenko was 80m pounds. We paid fair prices for players you wanted to sell. That was the deal.

And lets say for arguments sake we did 'promise', why would we obligated to respect this backroom agreement?

But the reports are we are working on a year 200k a year deal. Wasnt long ago we went to 350k a week to keep PEA, which in hindsight was a mistake, but it shows the levels of what we can offer.
