Bulger Murderer sent back to clink

GStar, that's why i said it was only MY OPINION, in America let's say, you can get 99 years for that crime, what did those c*nts get? They were 18 when they were released, fucking 18! After spending 8 years in 'secure accommodation'. At 18 those animals were young enough to start again, with their whole 'new' identities to give them freedom, not to look over their shoulders, and feel vulnerable like that woman's little boy did. Now Venables has violated his licence, we are getting leaked info about, him being drunk and fighting in merseyside, a place he wasn't allowed to visit. Yes i'll agree, she is stirring up the past and making things worse for her own mental health and wellbeing, but remember that wee boy will always be a 2 year old toddler in her mind, being tortured by those bastards, mercilessly who are living 'protected' lives, now that time has passed and we have all forgotten that terrible incident, it will still be a very big part of her life still today.

There's also an inherent irony in them wishing death upon the killers, who like it or not were children at the time.

I don't see how the state killing 2 children makes up for the death of another child.

It's a complicated issue. I have no answers but I know that more murder isn't the path to any sort of solution.

It doesn't make up for it, of course. The day the justice system becomes more about revenge than anything else is the day that our society dies.

It's all about base instincts and animal urges really. The killers kill because they're base creatures, the public respond...by wanting to see them, literally see them, die and suffer. It's like the opening scene of 2001 Space Odyssey.

Exactly.

And the amount of people in this thread who've never been within 100 yards of the inside of a prison, yet think they can accurately describe everyday life there.

Even more worrying is the amount of imagination and effort some people devote to describing details of their personal ideas for retribution. I'd say some of them take pleasure in it. Very disturbing.

I agree with you. I think perhaps we should be keeping an eye on those who say they'd find it easy to "pull the switch" or "tie the noose".

I've noticed that too, i thought it was fantastically ironic.

Theres a debate around the validity of the death sentence... one i'd vote against i think. But theres no debate around taking pleasure in ending anothers life. I'd put it down to the anonimity of internet forums, as opposed to any kind of heavy weight threat.

Revenge is a part of human nature. If any of my loved ones suffered like little Jamie did I would not be happy with mere justice.
Perhaps if the prison system actively punished offenders before they tried to rehabilitate them, people wouldn't be so set on vigilantism.

Thats what separates the two sets though.......... talk is cheap, 99% who convey an aggressive retribution wouldn't have it in them, but they display there frustration by making the threats in that manner..........

Its a good point, and why i'm glad we can all look at this from the outside... because theres no way you could make a fair decision if you were involved.

Spot on, mate

lts much better for us to invade foreign country's and kill people there, its far more civilized.

I'm really not sure I see your point here.

Just saying, like, all this hand wringing and soul searching about disposing of a couple of pieces of phlegm who deseve it over here, yet ,based on a tissue of lies and a whim we have no qualms about blowing away a few jonny foreigners in another sovereign state in the name of making them more 'civilized'.

Oh I agree with you on that mate. Most people do think that the justice system in this country is too weighted towards the accused. I'm in favour of life meaning life, but I could never support the death penalty.

Oh, I have plenty of qualms about it. And I've contibuted to it.

Instantly halving their collective IQ and doubling any indignation, righteous or otherwise.

Zin Zimmer I know someone who works in the prison service and they have heard that the other one Thompson is living in Australia. You seem to know your stuff just wondering pal?

Would Australia or any country (apart from us) take in a convicted child killer?

I was thinking that but Zin Zimmer said a Code 4 violation and Venables would be moved abroad.

Maybe the country he is sent to dosen't have a clue.

They soon send them packing if they re offend. They deported a paedophile who's parents had emigrated to Oz when he was a nipper. They banged him up and when his sentence was finished, they fucked him off back to England, even though he was more Australian than English.
