Leverscum are believed to have some interest in signing Tuchel. Would't really surprise me, as they have a young team full of quality players and enough dough to spend on their squad.

Isn't the usual plan to sell all the young players to Bayern and start again from scratch?

The usual plan is to win the league at any cost, which they - thank God - have been failing to do ever since.

Other part of their usual plan is to do everything to get a full stadium, meaning to subsidise their fans' tickets on the one hand, selling 3-match-ticket bundles and massivly rise ticket prices for other fans (e.g Köln, Schalke, Dortmund, Gladbach, Bayern who usually turn up in large numbers and easily make their away match a home match - away allocation is 3100, ten percent of the 31.000 capacity, Cologne usually takes 10.000+ to LEV), because they know they cannot fill the stadium with their own fans.
When Lev played the scum from the lane at Wembley they were offered 4.600 tickets, only applied for 2.300 (how sad, shameful and ridiculous is that?) and didn't even sell out this small quantity. Other Bundesliga clubs, like the ones mentioned above and probably two or three others, would have rather asked for 23.000... Lev are so small it would be beyond belief, if they were are proper club. But being just an advertising affiliate of a big business corporation, it's more a logical consequence.

catastrophe tourism - they usually have around 20.000 visitors

There is no romantic when talking of 1860 in the last years (only comedy - reality is even funnier than people would believe it in a comedy show...) - probably the worst led club in the recent 10 years with 13 different managers since 2010 - probably as many presidents and managers. The sport manager has already resigned in the morning, the president during the match, the coach did not want to tell anything at the press conference but he came to lead the club into the Champions League... ;)

About all contracts run out and in the next weeks there probably will be nobody to decide anything...

It is questionable if the investor will still be there in 3rd league - as it just was loaned money the club is deeply in debt (far deeper than they have been when he started to back the club) and a big question is if they get the licence for the 3rd league or even if they have put the papers in for it.

This season the 1st team, the U23, the U19, the U17 and U16 get relegated... (1860 always was known for their great youth work...)

As somebody has already suggested, the self inflicted farce that you describe, sounds so depressingly familiar for City fans of a certain age.

Fixtures release date for the next Bundesliga and 2. Liga 2017/2018 season is 29 June (for PL it's 14 June).

Draw for EL Group Stage on 25 August (I have developed an interest in such draws out of a sudden).

Could become a a very good season for Cologne's clubs:

FC - 5th in the Bundesliga, Europa League (Group Stages)
Fortuna (3. Liga) - avoided Relegation, "Mittelrhein-"-Cup Final vs Bonn (Reg. Liga) tomorrow, winner qualifies for 1st round of the DFB-Cup
Viktoria (Reg. Liga) - won the Regionalliga West title, 2 leg play off vs Jena (winner gets promoted to 3. Liga) Sun 28 May/Thu 1 June

I'm looking at the August midweek for the DFB Cup 1st Round, and hoping to do a couple of new grounds.
I presume the draw is seeded, but do you know the date?

Draw date is 11th June and it is seeded.

Draw Info

Without reading that, from memory they put the smaller teams at home, so it will be mainly Regionaliga and 3rd Liga teams at home - should be an opportunity to see some new grounds!

1860 Munich owner, Ismaik, hasn't stumped up the 20 million euros needed for the club to get a 3. Ligament license. Currently, nobody knows what division the club will be playing in. What is sure is that they will definitely playing semi-professional football, most likely the Regionalliga Bayern (4th division).

I hope for Cologne away to Bonn or Koblenz

Okay cheers. I'll wait for the draw and see what happens. I didn't check, but assumed it was midweek, mainly because I can't ever recall any German Weekend Cup fixtures.

Are BFC Dynamo the old Dynamo Berlin from East Berlin (I think they played Notts Forest in the European Cup in the late 70s)
Also, whatever happened to Munster? I've changed trains there on a couple of occasions, and there always seems to be a few Munster fans on their travels.
