Draw date is 11th June and it is seeded.

Draw Info

Without reading that, from memory they put the smaller teams at home, so it will be mainly Regionaliga and 3rd Liga teams at home - should be an opportunity to see some new grounds!

Cheers mate.
Yes, it's definitely an opportunity. although thanks to this season's promotion/relegation, I'm back to needing only 4 Bundesliga grounds.
Hoffenheim, Augsburg, Freiburg and RB Leipzig are all on my radar.

Fairly gutted about 1860.

I haven't fully invested (emotionally) in a German team, but the comical fuck ups they make so often used to remind me of City when I was growing up, and the Sky Blue helped too. Nothing comical about today though. Such a sad day for a once great club.

Ismaik hasn't even got the decency to walk away.

Agree completely.
I watched the 5-0 v Palace in a Munich bar, and all the locals seemed to support 1860. They appear to be a total shambles, but the fans deserve better.

Fucking disgraceful what's happened to 1860. Went to see one of their games against Ingolstadt at the Allianz back in 2008 when some of us were over in Munich for the Oktoberfest. They were in the 2nd division at the time and weren't doing particularly well but there were still around 35,000 in the ground. To hear that the owner has pulled a stunt like that on them beggars belief.

Are BFC Dynamo the old Dynamo Berlin from East Berlin (I think they played Notts Forest in the European Cup in the late 70s)
Also, whatever happened to Munster? I've changed trains there on a couple of occasions, and there always seems to be a few Munster fans on their travels.

Yes, BFC is the old Dynamo Berlin. Hated by pretty much every one in the East as they where the "chosen" club by the Stasi when Germany was still split by the wall.

They are still known to have a pretty rough following of skinheads, nazis and hooligans.

Preußen Münster still plays in the 3rd division. Not a lot happening there I guess...Münster is a student city, so I guess a lot of young people who move to Münster pick them up as their team, but overall they have never been a "big thing".

Schalke have made a very bold choice for their new manager - 31 year old Dominico Tedesco.

He managed Aue for 11 games at the end of last season, and kept them up (quite impressively to be fair).

I hope it works out but I can't help but feel Schalke have seen what Nagelsmann has done and tried to copy. Time will tell if it's successful but I have my doubts....

1860's on going problems has given Paderborn a reprieve. Lucky to escape their 3rd consecutive relegation. 1860 seems to be a complete disaster and I believe Ismaik is trying to use it as an opportunity to get around the 50+1 rule.

BFC Dynamo - Schalke

Hopefully live TV game.

Don't know about BT or others, but german free TV stations always choose Bayern (away to Chemnitz), if not, they show Dortmund. My favourite from a neutral point of view would be Essen vs Gladbach.

Unfortunately not the draw I had hoped for: Cologne away to a club from up north (Leher TS / Bremerhaven), not a club rather from around the corner like Bonn, Koblenz, Duisburg or Essen.

Exact dates and k.o. times will get announced in about 10 - 12 days

I can get dozens of German channels on my satellite system and I always watch the Pokal highlights in August and sometimes live games in later rounds.
