Congrats on the win yesterday Bemble, really glad for you!

As for the last sentence in your post I won't agree completely. Those players keep winning things on club level, so they don't care about their haircuts more than other things. It might be because of a lack of motivation where Low should come in..Also why does Podolski start every time ahead of Reus..just ridiculous. It will be a damn shame if that generation of players didn't win a major tournament.

It might just be me, but I personally get completely pissed when I see one of the new generation lightweights glide all over the pitch, fall over on a tackle/push and then proceed to roll over the floor, moan at the ref instead of getting up and chasing the ball again and win it back.

Feels like watching the Clasico in Spain with all the moaning and drama. That's what I meant with missing that 100% winning spirit that players like Matthäus, Buchwald, Kohler, Sammer etc had.

You can´t win trophies with a team full of gifted talents, you need fighters/leaders as well and that's something the team lacks. Schweinsteiger and Lahm are most likely the ones that carry this spirit, but Schweinsteiger has so far been a disappointment as well in the big games for Germany.

Löw just playing his favourite players and not necessarily the best just adds to the mess...

But that's just my 2 cents...Overall my club is what matters and not the national team.

First real view of Pep's new Bayern. Bayerncelona destroyed Schalke with superb passing football, magnificent to watch.

Watched the match on Sky in a bar down in Stuttgart, and that was indeed the first time that Bayern looked like I would have expected them to under Pep.
Schalke hat a good start and I was expecting some more resistance from them, but after the first goal went in you were in full control.

Had a good day out in Stuttgart on Sunday and we managed to grab a point from them as well. Not sure if I am happy about it....If you asked me before the match I would have gladly taken one point as we usually never get anything when playing them at their own place.

However seeing how well we played and how many 100% chances we generated we would have deserved the 3 points. Got a bit nervy when Stuttgart got the penalty in the end and it would have been typical Eintracht to lose it that way.

Anyway, so far we still play some beautiful and nice to watch football despite the additional pressure from the Euro League, and it seems like we reached a point where our squad depth is good enough to compensate for injuries as well.

Bayern bound? :p

Nothing we don't already know, he has said time after time that he will not sign another contract in Dortmund and it is the worst secret in the BL that he wants to join Bayern rather than move to another country.

It doesn't sit well with me, that transfer. Maybe because i follow 1860 Munich. Maybe, I don't know. The Gotze transfer didn't sit well with me either. I guess it'd be a bit like Ozil joining United and therefore making our rivals stronger, I guess.

Freudian Slip by Lewa :D
Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has backtracked on his comment that he is to sign a contract with Bayern Munich in January.

Lewandowski, 25, spoke to the press following Dortmund's 2-0 win over 1860 Munich on Tuesday and appeared to have confirmed the longstanding reports he will ink a four-year deal at the Allianz Arena.

Asked whether he will be able to officially announce the Bayern switch in January, he had said: “Yes, because I can officially sign the new contract in January.”

However, the Poland international claimed on Wednesday that his words were down to a misunderstanding with the interviewer, and that there is no deal yet agreed with the European champions.

“Looking at the video [of his interview] again, I became frightened of it,” Lewandowski told Sport Bild. “What I really wanted to express right after the game was that I will be able to pen a new deal in January at the earliest.

“I only wanted to answer the question of when I will finally be taking a stand on my future. Like I have said many times, I want to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Everything else I can only say in January.”

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc refused to discuss the issue in public, telling Ruhr Nachrichten: “From our side there is nothing more to be said. We want to have a reasonable last year [with Lewandowski] -- both sides have said that -- and things are good.”

Lewandowski, whose contract at Dortmund expires next summer, has been the subject of a transfer saga between Dortmund and Bayern since the end of last season, and had hoped to make the switch to the Treble holders in the summer.

Dortmund rejected the transfer and instead, after the two parties came close to a fall-out, granted Lewandowski, who has scored 58 goals in 104 Bundesliga games since joining Dortmund from Lech Poznan in 2010, a hefty pay rise in August, despite his impending exit.

I don't understand the Dortmund players and why they have no faith in the club? Dortmund have a chance of establishing themselves as one of the top 5 clubs in the world. They have a recent champions league win, a good youth system, an excellent stadium, a great manager and a fantastic young team. Yet it seems in Germany itself they are not held so highly. Sahin, Kagawa, Goetze and now Lewandowski have/will all left. There are still rumours about Reus and Gundogan. The club are in a very stable position financially and could become a real force, because they are assured champions league football for the next few years, but the players don't seem to believe in the project.

As for Lewandoski, he was incredibly underrated up until the Madrid game where he scored 4 and now is vastly overrated. He is not on the same level as Zlatan. He even is not the level below as say Rooney (as an out and out striker). Would have been far better to sell him for 25 million even to Bayern and bring in Higuain. Lewandoski has been terrible this season and does not look bothered.

Also think Klopp made a mistake not bringing in a more creative player. The loss of Goetze was a big one and teams are going to come and park the bus against them. When this happens they lack the bit of guile to break those teams down. Ozil was the perfect and obvious signing. Aubmeyang looks good and could become the new central striker. Hoffmann looks very talented and will probably replace Kuba. They just need that extra world class player in the middle to really be a match for Bayern, Madrd and Barca. A players of De Bryune's level is not going to cut it they really need someone already world class. If Mata was available he would be the perfect option, even cup tied and in January. Usually it's better to go for the cheaper option, but Dortmund need a big name signing to give their players and their standing a boost.
