Looking at Duisburg on the opening night for Bundesliga 2 and then FSV Frankfurt the following afternoon. Are these the sort of games that Duisburg or FSV might sell out?

FSV only have a small ground, but they rarely sell out. If some big team comes along like Lautern, Köln etc. the away end and surrounding parts of the ground will get packed, but you should still easily get a ticket especially against a team like Rattensport Leipzig.

Can see some Eintracht fans going to see that fixture as well. And even if it just is to hunt some trophies from Leipzig fans. ;)

Schanzer have been busy, signing four players already. Bregerie, Kachunga, Suttner and Nyland. Particularly happy about Nyland and Kachunga however we could do with some more experienced Bundesliga faces now.

Jus waiting for the fixture times to be released so I can organise my trips!

Bad news...looks like our keeper and captain will join PSG for 9.5 million Euro.

Good news, lots of money to spend on improvements. Seems like we might get Sidney Sam in from Schalke and Weidenfeller is currently discussed as replacement for Trapp and as a "mentor" for our young backup keeper Heinz Lindner.

Stefan Reinartz is a great signing and Luc Castaignos is a pretty promising talent from what I have read.

Our defense gpt some more depth with Abraham from Hoffenheim and it looks like we can keep Zambrano and our great talent Stendera.

Can't help but get slightly excited...

Did you sign Lindner from Austria Wien?

and the DFB-Pokal fixtures 1st round 7th Aug - 10th Aug

http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/dfbpokal/spielrunde/dfb-pokal/2015-16/spieltag.html

One could do a nice long footy weekend e.g.
Fri Erndtebrück - Darmstadt (played in Siegen / Leimbachstadion)
Sat Duisburg - Schalke
Sun Essen - Düsseldorf
Mon Bielefeld - Hertha Berlin

Presumably getting tickets for some of those might be a bit tricky....

I looked at going to Bielefeld, Bochum, and Dusseldorf on the 2nd weekend of Buli 2, but flights seem really expensive so I think I'll just save my money until the Champions League draw and see who City get. Hoping for Wolfsburg.

Does anyone know if there’s a set format for how the Bundesliga 2 games are scheduled, and more specifically, how far in advance, they’re switched,

We’re looking at Manchester-Hamburg (currently only £100 return Friday 18/9-25/9), and then maybe staying nearer to the Ruhr Valley/

Alex,: Ingolstadt are at Werder Bremen that weekend, and Bremen’s ground is only a short tram ride from the hauptbahnhof

There’s also a full midweek programme for both divisions, so hopefully we could do at least four games Saturday-Wednesday.

Hamburg v Eintracht Frankfurt

Werder Bremen v Ingolstadt

Cologne v Monchengladbach (might be switched to Sunday if Monchengladbach are in Europe the previous midweek.

Bochum v Fortuna

Braunschweig v St Pauli

Duisburg v FSV Frankfurt

Midweek

Duisburg v Braunschweig

Bielefeld v Bochum

Schalke v Eintracht Frankfurt

Leverkusen v Mainz

Monchengladbach v Augsburg

Hannover v Stuttgart

Hoffenheim v Dortmund

Kaiserslautern v Nurnberg

St Pauli v Heidenheim

Obviously, this would mean missing City v West Ham, and a League Cup game, but ideally we’d do a couple of new grounds and hopefully the Cologne-Monchengladbach derby.

I hope we get Gladbach, would really like to go there and could be good if Dortmund are at home the next day in the Europa League!

Edit - Just saw your post Scaring and that would be superb, only problem being Sundays are bad for me, go figure! So the chances are I'll probably have to go around Christmas, which would probably be Leverkusen at home. I'd want to try and make Stuttgart away as the flights are really easy from Manchester.

Does anyone know all sets of the midweek fixtures as I could manage one of those, or else I'm needing a few friday night Ingolstadt games!

Alex, I think the easiest for you would to check www.kicker.de which is the central source for everything around Football in Germany. Only drawback is that it is in German...;)

On the home screen you will find a Navigation Frame at the top where you go to "Bundesliga", then you will get a second Navigation Frame below the initial one where you head to "Vereine" (Clubs).
You will then get an overview of all Bundesliga Clubs where you pick your Schanzer. You will get yet another page and right below the club logo are different tabs, one called "Termine" (Dates) which shows all fixtures of your club, including cup matches etc.

Looks like you are playing Cologne and Hamburg at home during the week.

we bought Sam and Boateng, both with a long history of injuries. That is why there are some jokes about medicals at Schalke.
Will be interesting to see, if Nastasic will be in the team next season. Last season he was Di Matteo´s favorite, that´s why he made every game.

All fixtures until the end of September have now been fixed. Can't post a link easily/quickly.

Any you fancy? The Englisch woche is the week after a champions league game, so if we're away I'd struggle to justify more time off so soon. Still depends on the draw for me...

For anybody planning to visit the heart of German Football. ;o)
