The Bundesliga Beckhams Rafael and Sylvie VdV will divorce. (he slapped her that hard on a new years party, that she went down). They were the only reason, why HSV was still in the Bundesliga, guess they will be relegated now.
He barely touched her, clearly a dive. Fine the ref.

they're going down because a player is getting divorced?

of course, HSV was 17th, when the vdVs came, now they are 7th, and .....

well, i meant is a joke, but i just have seen, some german papers are already discussing it.

Ah okay, fair enough. We don't expect humour from you guys. ;)

Actually - he brought them back in track and was injured the recent some weeks - and they still had success without him. The team is not that bad - just very young.

Raphael van der Vaart is known to the football fans - but Silvie to the general public.

From Wikipedia
After her husband's 2008 transfer to Real Madrid, the van der Vaarts moved to Spain. Since 2008, she has been a judge on Das Supertalent, the German version of Simon Cowell's Got Talent series. She is currently taking part in the third season of the German equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, called Let's Dance. On 17 April 2010, van der Vaart replaced the usual Deutschland sucht den Superstar judge Nina Eichinger for the final of the 7th season, after the latter was stuck in Los Angeles following flight restrictions as a result of the 2010 eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull.[2][3] In March 2011 van der Vaart is going to host the show Let's Dance together with Daniel Hartwich.

Following in the footsteps of famous entertainers such as Johannes Heesters and Rudi Carell, van der Vaart is one of the most successful Dutch personalities active in Germany.

We always had some dutch entertainers in Germany. Even I do not understand it.

No worries, it was a pretty bad joke even considering our already low German standards here. ;)

@Ruhr: :P

Come on, you know our low standards making jokes about the Dutch. :_)

Just been to Frankfurt downtown trying to find myself a City top, just to be greeted by tons of United shirts and stuff in the first shop I was in.

When I asked one of the salesman for a City shirt he looked at me like a fecking alien....

Tried to leave as fast as possible just to bump into some asian bloke with a Chelsea top at the next corner. :(

Not the best way to start the day.....

Get the shirt, spread the word!

Welcome to England 10 years ago :)

I remember I used to find it genuinely exciting when the one sportswear shop in my town would have a single City kit hidden in the back of rows and rows of rag and London team shirts.

January transfers and contracts so far

Neven Subotic (2016) and Sven Bender (2017) signed new contracts with Borussia Dortmund
Midfielder Ivan Perisic moves from Borussia Dortmund to VfL Wolfsburg for about 8 million Euro
Johan Djourou moves from Arsenal FC to Hannover 96 (on loan)
German U21 captain Lewis Holtby leaves Schalke 04 for Tottenham at the end of the season
German U21 defender Jan Kirchhoff leaves Mainz 05 for Bayern München at the end of the season
