Does anyone spot the irony about people complaining about people using new found wealth to buy success (i.e. Hoffenheim) on a Manchester City supporters forum? :)

At the time I got my soft spot for City, it had no success, but a long suffering, yet large and passionate set of supporters -quite different from Hoffenheim...

Immel, Frontzeck, Rösler, Gaudino added to my interest into City -

"Maybe, you gonna be the one that saves me - and after all you're my
Allen Ball" still ringing in my ear :-)

Dickov, Summerbee and Kinky were my favourite players though...

Dortmund 1-4 Hamburg!!!

Lewandowski sent off in the first half and apparently some of Dortmund's team have flu. The worst possible preparations for their Champions League game.

easy going for Bayern against an embarrasing Schalke team

Kicked off between Nürnberg fans and the police outside the Arena. Nürnberg fans left half of the away section empty as they were not allowed any banners or flags for this "high risk category" fixture (police was afraid they could light flares inside the arena using their banners as cover).
Majority of their fans stayed outside and supported the team from there, however the police obviously didnt like it, so it kicked off....Sometimes I really wonder if having less police and more tolerant police would help to solve those kind of situations in a less riot style manner...

Anyway, I am looking forward to the champions league fixtures this week! :)

Gonna be fun to see how Dortmund will handle Donezk and I personally think that the match won´t be as easy for them as many seem to predict.

Schalke is in a lot of trouble imho as they got the first match in Instanbul. They are not exactly oozing confidence right now and I can see them losing the match in Instanbul and then having to fight back at home. Could very well imagine Schalke not reaching the next round....

Bayern will hopefully twat Arsenal and their quick attacking line should feast on "Slow Motion" Mertesacker...;)

Would be nice to see Dortmund-Munich in the next round (at least as a neutral).
