The weren't playing for league survival. They were going down. Was just a matter of when

Our possession was poor. Our finishing was even poorer. And The selection without Rodri's correct understudy clearly was a mistake.

Tonight could have been a real banana skin. We weren’t great but we got the 3 points.

It was never going to be a case of racking up the goals. Burnley were not going to lay down at home.

We just need to win games and see where we are at the end of the season.

Good game by us, 27 shots, 8 on target, Burnley could not do anything second half. Many here just need to switch to watch Fifa not real football games

That was worse than just missing Rodri.
I'm putting it down to fatigue or nerves but several of our better players were completely off it.
Guehi had a better second half.

That second half was torture. It seemed like it was shaping up for there to be a sting in the tail, but fortunately there wasn't. The longer it went without us getting another goal for a cushion, the more it looked like we might get punished.

We needed a win and we got one, the goal was good. Top of the PL. Not much else to say.

There's a reason Foden is still third in goals/assists despite not playing in what feels like forever. This team lacks goal scorers, bar Haaland, when he's not out there, and the other one, in Semenyo, is having a dip in form.

I see others talking about the performance, and it was indeed crap, but at this point of the season, it's about getting the points and worrying about the performances in the summer. We did that tonight. On to the next one.

52 shots tonight and recently at West Ham and 2 goals, 1 a fluke, to show. Just lack that killer instinct in front of goal.

Thought Nico played well. He's never going to be a match winner but he's solid.

Know we won but that's a disgrace of a performance in front of goal. XG of 3.7. Arsenal have a couple of games where they could fill their boots. Huge chance missed tonight. Sorry, I know this will rile some up and all that, but most pissed off I have been with a win in ages.

The title is slightly more in Arsenal’s hands now than ours imo. With the fixtures we both have, we needed to be ruthless today and it was the polar opposite. Doesn’t bode well.

What this does is make it likely that goal difference will be in Arsenal’s favour at the end of the season and not ours. Realistically need them to drop points now and win all of our games.

Made hard work of it, but we take the win and move on. Was expecting there to be a bit of a hangover from Sunday, but some leggy, nervy performances there tonight. Would be tempted to rotate a bit on Saturday to freshen things up.
