Just a reality check...
Arsenal lose that game tonight.
Not pretty but still three points.

No way Arsenal will win their remaining five games (not with Atletico Madrid kicking the crap out of them... the apprentice schooled by the master)

There's a reason Foden is still third in goals/assists despite not playing in what feels like forever. This team lacks goal scorers, bar Haaland, when he's not out there, and the other one, in Semenyo, is having a dip in form.

I see others talking about the performance, and it was indeed crap, but at this point of the season, it's about getting the points and worrying about the performances in the summer. We did that tonight. On to the next one.

Doku is great in big games but his lack of goal threat becomes very apparent in games like this one. Did really well to put Haaland in on goal but 2 tame shots and not a single cross all game when we absolutely dominated possession and territory start to finish, and he wasn’t hugging the touchline either.

That game was a massive wake up call after Sunday and it could actually cost us the title on goal difference if nothing else.

If we play like that in our remaining games we're getting fuck all. Bournemouth, Everton and Villa will definitely beat us if we repeat that shit show. As it is this result will give Arsenal a huge boost. They'll score more goals than us in the run in and will probably hit six against Burnley at home.

It feels strange to be this pessimistic on the night we've gone top of the league but aside from getting the required three points there was absolutely nothing else to be happy about.

just gotta take the fact that the game was a must win 3 to finally claw arsenal back to level points, several weeks ago we’d had snapped that sort of game right out of someone’s hand. On another day we score a few but don’t underestimate the effort the lads put in against arsenal and few days later again but without rodri.

Shit performance but we’re top!

What did people expect after Sunday? The players gave there all, physically, mentally , and emotionally. They were shattered, Then back down to earth to Burnley 3 days later, playing against a team playing for pride and not wanting to be relegated tonight. Rodri was a big loss. I’m just happy with the win. Play the squad players on Saturday. Rest the 1st team players. Risk a shock FA Cup -Semi-Final defeat for the chance of the PL title.

Tonight highlights goal difference. And that’s where Arsenal will take advantage with their easier run-in.

When you go into games expecting to steamroll a team just because they're going down, it rarely happens. Like they say in boxing, when you go looking for the knockout, it rarely comes.

It's a good 3 points! We are top! Move on.

If anything, it will probably help re-focus the players

Has there ever been a front line that is so feckin incapable of actually getting shots off? In all seriousness, and amazingly skillful as Cherki may look, none of the other forwards have a bloody clue what happens next. In short, there's a touch of the Rodney Marsh signing about Cherki, and you seriously have to ask yourself if we would score more goals without him in the team.

Really wasn't as bad a performance that some are making out.

Pep should probably have changed things sooner but we created chances and kept it fairly tight and controlled second half.

Guehi was poor in possession and Semenyo was deservedly subbed.

I think O'Reilly needs to start at LB for the remaining games. Hell eventually be a fantastic midfielder but let's keep him where he's playing well and having an impact.

We are still the form team, just beat Arsenal at the weekend, and the win today really was the most important aspect, to cement the position at the top of the league.

Arsenal fans will be saying this was a good result for them, but really they'll be gutted we didn't draw. Pressure back on them for Newcastle now, who raise their game against the bigger teams.

If we don't win the league this season it won't be a 1 nil away win at Burnley that we look back at and wonder what if.
Arsenal fans will be gutted we won it at all. They would have been hoping we'd slip up like they did v Wolves a few weeks ago. I can't see then winning their last 5 based on their recent performance and their fans know it, they'll be desperate for us to slip up and we haven't tonight.

We've turned over a 9 point gap in the league that we never expected to. This in a transition season. We have already won one cup and are in the fa cup semi final at weekend. Yeah what a load of crap. Some people need to cheer up.
