Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

Its as simple as no killer instinct today. Aguero does not fit in this system, he scores goals because thats what he knows but cant help but feel like there would be someone more effective.
 
We looked a bit tired. Should really have been 3 or 4 up the amount of opportunities we had. looking at it another way though, Eddie was the busier goalkeeper and on another day we could have come away with nothing. Bit of a rest and we go again. Vinnie, Kun, Raz all poor. Just one of those days.
 
Looked like tiredness more than anything today stopped us hopefully a weeks rest and we'll be back at it next week.
 
A draw away from home against a premier league team.

Sterlings was a fucking terrible miss. But he gets some cudous from rescuing 12 points. We know he is not the best finisher.

Do not understand why we don’t line up like that. Or even try switching once in the game. Sane and Sterling will swap over, why won’t bernardo?

sergio should have scored a hat trick today. why the fuck is he passing that to sterling? and why cant he make a 5 yard pass and instead plays it behind him. sorry, i love the guy but sergio was a fucking waster out there today (as were others)
 
Well played Burnley.credit where credit is due..really enjoyed it in a very entertaining game..good ref too. Missed chances was our downfall and the more we missed it was inevitable they would score..ederson wow..world class saves from a world class keeper.
 
Wonderful strike from full-back Danilo, bent into the far corner from outside the box. Don't know if we could've done too much about their goal, we just should've scored more earlier. Was some miss from Sterling, but 20 goals this season, don't enjoy being down on our players but I would like a bit more from Gündoğan. My motm KDB. Still over the moon with how things are going.

Sterling's miss was a shocker
Walker switching off to allow a free run at the cross was as bad

As a group we were terribly wasteful in and around their penalty area

Credit to Burnley. Where they could they threw bodies in the way of goalbound efforts, survived and ground out a draw and did so without trying to snap anyone in half
 
7 points lost in our last three away games. That is exactly why we can’t be crowned champions.
Have to blame ourselves for not finishing it off early. After a very good first half and a fantastic goal from Danilo. We just let them have their tails up in the 2nd. And Pep can’t keep kissing players all the time.
Disappointed because it was totally unnecessary but there you go. Onwards upwards. 16p gap as it is now.
