Burnley (A) | Post Match Thread

Raz changes games , i just didnt see the point in a pretty player who has no affect , sure next season he will be better
So why not give him time then? It's not just you, by the way. But you do seem to have different tolerance levels to certain players. Sterling had a ropey 18 months, but has emerged from it. Perhaps Jack will, as well?

Wanted any win so pleased

Have to be tighter at the back , ooh 'er missus

Any point to grealish ?

Runs away
Always try to ignore the fee when judging Grealish , but its difficult when he plays like today ,he contributed next to nothing Jesus did more in twenty minutes than Jack did all the game , we need more end product ,Pep has backed him 100% and picked him when others have probably had a better shout for a starting place.
Ive no doubt Jack will improve over the next twelve months , but we need something different on the left right now the business end of the season, Foden or Sterling will produce far more.

A wins a win but we don't half make it difficult for ourselves. Maybe City just want to knacker out the opposition by playing the ball backwards and having the opponents chase. Would prefer a touch to control and a look forwards more often, with a splash of anticipation. Overthink it and overplay it quite often but its only my opinion. Anyhow a draw and seven more wins and its 4 titles from 5. I wonder if thats ever been done before? Well played City. I like Jesus and Silva directness.

- Thought Ake was very good. He's having a good season for us.

- Cancelo looked like he was back to his creative best.

- Thrilled Kev has had a bit of a break, he looked like he needed it and that showed today. Sterling also looked decent. Lots of positives across the pitch, with Bernie mostly getting a rest.

- How relaxed did every player in the team look. I felt ill before the game, every City lad looked like they were having a knockabout in the park. Much better vibes going into the run-in.

- Pep isn't going to tell the team to chase down goals because all that does is tell them he doesn't trust them to beat Liverpool next weekend. And believe me Pep trusts his players to beat Liverpool.

- Burnley already look like they're down. Very little fight in either the players or the crowd. Think Everton will be up for it now, which is a good sign for the derby as well. Good riddance, if you ask me.

- Bring on Tuesday!
