No Vinny please. He was a liability last night and had a terrible game at Burnley last season.

They let him be the man to bring out the ball, so we need Stones and Laporte to beat that press.
I actually thought he had a good game, but I did watch delayed after knowing the result so didn't have the anxiety levels of watching him live.

I would not be surprised to see Foden start with knocks to Gundo and Dhino. I wonder if Pep has been playing Gundo more lately to encourage him to sign a contract extension, he's being doing a great job in that position so wouldn't mind seeing him stick around.

He did. But it depends on what you are looking for. His defending was good. His rotation of the ball was clunky, and he struggled a bit with Rashford's pace and taking advantageous positions in the build up.

His anticipation of a play, strength in tackle, and wise old headiness were all good..

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Bernardo, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Sane
Bench: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Mendy, Foden, Mahrez, Jesus

Wouldn't risk Vinny for this one. After Sunday we'll have full weeks to prepare for the final two. Otamendi should be able to handle Burnley's shithousery better than Stones so went with him. Expecting Fern and KDB to miss this one and then hopefully back for Leicester.

0-2 to the visitors.

Ederson
Walker Stones LaPorte Zinchenko
Bernardo Fernandinho Silva
Sterling Aguero Sane

Not many defenders who wouldn't struggle with Rashford's pace though. No idea why Stones/Larporte has not been Peps go to starting pair this season because they always look the best to me but I think Vinny adds a level of calmness that is needed for those massive games like last night.

Highly Unlikely. He has been playing him because he has been performing well.

Yeah, the dropping of Stones surprised me too. I think he'll win the job eventually.

Nice, anyways if anything among those does not work as per plan, we can have solace from threads like "Is the Title Race scripted" or VAR is a joke etc..

Manchester City is a great team now probably might even go down as the finest team in the Premiere League era.. but yes the remaining 3 games in the league will be tougher test than united away or Chelsea and Arsenal at home.. good luck there
Might? we are centurians mate

Well we obviously need the win. I would absolutely love us to blow this shower away in the first half though. Get it done early and see the game out comfortably.

This is going to be a battle and a half and I can see both sides scoring. They will be playing with freedom now they're safe which still makes them dangerous. 2-1 City with this team :

Ederson

Walker
Zinchenko
Stones
Laporte

Gundogan

D.Silva
B.Silva
Sterling
Sane

Aguero

Subs: Muric, Danilo, Kompany, Mahrez, Foden, Jesus, Fernandinho?
