I also feel the outcome would be up for debate if we disrespect Burnley. We know their team is built around the defence and hard work.
Some suggesting we rest 4 or 5 first teamers - but Burnley won't. They will be up for this match.
I do not think our second string will beat Burnley. Bravo , Danilo , Mangala , Zinch (if we rest Delph) , Yaya , etc.......
Walker seems likely to miss the game with a groin strain. How can we rest Merlin and Kevin , Sane , and Raheem.?
Sergio is bound to start as we do not have another Striker - if Raheem is benched.
So our injuries are piling up - this includes Foden , Jesus and Komps. Stones only feeling his way back from 5 weeks out.
I think the result could be 1-0 - either way.A draw would be disastrous for us - plenty of games to come incl. 2 leg semi and LiverPool.

The side that has stood us in good stead in the cups so far is good enough to beat Burnley.

It may not do so on the day anything can happen but its good enough to best them.

They are well organised but offer little in attack.

The game will be played mostly in their half and if we take our chances we will come out on top.

To think of strong side that iexcludes the exhausted players i can think of dave (if not going back to Spain), delph,Gundo, stones, danilo for walker, Kompany, Raheem, B silva. not sure about kun to start as he is our only fit striker atm. Kev, sany, ferna are due for a REST imo.

Full strength, first team. Lads have 4 days. Then, full strength, first team for home tie against Bristol City. Then, full strength, first team against Liverpool. Three games in 12 days is no biggie at this point, and we need our best team on the field to take care of all three fixtures.

Of course, with a strong lead in either of the first two games, we sub off players needing a break, like Aguero, KDB, etc..., but we have to get through this period without a let up.

Travelling to Manchester to watch it, hopefully I won't miss the flight back home this time hehe.
I'd prefer if we rest some players for this and the Bristol game so they can be 100% fit for the Liverpool match.
Bravo
Danilo, Tosin, Mangala, Zinchenko
Toure (ugh)
Sane, B Silva, Gundogan, Brahim
Nmecha

Of course it might be a bit risky but as we're at home we should still be favourites to win the game with a starting eleven like that.

Claudio Bravo
Danilo - Stones - Mangala - Zinchenko
Toure
Gundogan - D. Silva
B. Silva - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sane

Burnley will, for sure, play a substantially weaker team. Win on another squeaky-bum finish

Got a feeling we will put out our best team and change players as necessary. Complete change next Tuesday to rest players for the dippers.

Burnley are safe, and probably not going to crack the Top 6, so why on earth, on an open weekend set aside for teams to play their best teams, would they elect to come to City with a weak team KNOWING that City will probably have a weakened team AND teams like Burnley have had the best success against us (harry and scurry, trying to put us under pressure, score from breakaway or set piece)?

No, I think Burnley will see this game as an opportunity to get one over on us, gain confidence and a 4th Round spot in a tournament that just might get them into Europe. Not to be taken lightly, or it will be 3 competitions and our first domestic loss of the season. We’ve walk a razors edge to get to the Semi in the EFL Cup, and everyone takes the FA Cup more seriously than that.
