Burnley (H) Post Match Thread

We were on level 1, now we're on level 2

That might explain it then. Probably easier for tourists to get tickets on level 2, more corporate and the club selling on tickets. Also lots got moved around in level 2 because of relocations especially from where the tunnel club is ?

Not the best I have seen us play, but all things considered like tiredness and the awful weather a great result against a team that has specialised in getting draws away to the top 6

I think as you say a combination of things made it a gritty game yesterday. Firstly the two changes disrupted our flow a bit. Secondly a bit of mental and physical fatigue setting in, their couple of half chances were individual errors from us. Thirdly Burnley are a big strong defensive unit, well drilled and hard to pull out of shape. The odd thing is in spite of what a tough game they gave us we could have easily scored five again which would have been harsh on them. In the last few minutes we missed three great chances. I was glad to see Wood go off as his power was causing us a few problems at the back.

Hopefully Wolves is a chance for some of the squad to step up and get a game. Not too many as they’re still a decent outfit, but give some key players a rest. I think West Brom will be a tough game - I’d want the intensity of Sane Jesus and Sterling all playing.

I agree, we look our best with a the 3 young guns of Sane, Jesus and Sterling.

Yea probably. I've been in the east stand mainly this season, but also the south ( level one for both ) and there aren't many at all., none where I sit.Champions league games a different story as lots of regulars don't attend. The only time I've seen a fair few tourists is when I've been in level 2. I actually think compared to other clubs like United or Liverpool we barely have any.
We're in East stand level 1 there's a fair amount of tourists many of them foreign mainly they seem to be down the front obviously same people tend to sit around you if the seats are taken by season card holders.Look round Concourse pre match and halftime you'll see plenty of tourists.

I keep seeing comments like this and I feel like I'm at a different game. There literally aren't any tourists/ ott in the area I'm sat in, its the same people that have always sat there and I don't really notice many walking on the concourse before the game - maybe it's just the area I'm in. I do notice it for champions league games
I was in the gods - level 3 Colin bell stand, just below a cameraman.

Around the stadium before I was walking about by main entrance and city square.

On the way back I was rammed in a tram surrounded by very different languages to English - in Multiple groupings.

Majority of supporters were 'typical' - im just good at spotting by the atypical!

I'd say some were 'tourists', but the groups on tram looked regulars.

I thought Burnley were the best team we've faced in the premiership this season..very well organized and a credit to City for getting a fantastic result against them.

We looked absolutely knackered yesterday.

Our Midfield were finding it difficult to run into space to be passed to as the opposition looked far fresher and were very fit and kept up their pressing and blocking of channels well for most of the game.

Good ground out win though.

Burnley, while effective, were one of the worst teams on the eye I’ve seen since the Rags came at the end of last season.

Even in the warm-up, all the ‘keeper did was practice smashing it as far up field as possible and their whole team did the same for 90minutes. It wasn’t like they were aimed long passes, it was just continuous and aimless smashing the ball any-fucking-where.

Caveman football.

And their fans are thick six fingered morons, can’t even boo the right player!

i do look around the concourse pre match and i dont see plenty of tourists, the vast majority of fans attending from what i can see arent tourists. I'm sat at the back of the stand. i think its exaggerated the amount we actually have. even from crowd shots or watching games on tv, most dont seem like tourists. from the way some post, its as if it was like old trafford.

this was the everton game. this is the type of people i see or that I'm sat around ( in the pictures )

these are pictures from the game yesterday. i might have some stereo typical view of what a tourist is and isn't. but look at the crowd shots on this website ( other games as well) most arent tourists
