Burnley - Post Match Thread

We got the points but it was a bad performance really. And we really need to start getting a few clean sheets.

He is correct we are not fluid or great to watch except for the 1st 6 games and the odd exception incl Barca. We have to be honest. Maybe we are work in progress in fairness but we dont look title winning material at the moment regardless of out league position.

Three points was all that mattered today. Glad I went as it sounds like I might have thrown the TV out of the window listening to Savage/Francis.

Fernando MOTM for me today, nice tidy game, broke their play up on numerous occasions and never put a pass astray.

Alarming lack of heading ability in the team that needs addressing. Don't think we won one aerial batter all day.

Next week v Chelsea will be the true test of where we are.
I thought Barca was a true test but hey ho.

Great that we won but...
Glacial attacking. Wide players not trying to use their pace to get behind the opposition. Poor quality of final pass when we get a chance in the opposition box. Frequent poor defending - especially when the opposition press us high up the pitch.
It's better than under Pellers, but really, that isn't saying much.

Why Why Why

Why do we have to hang on always in the last 15minutes. Why can we not finish teams off. Why do we keep giving the ball away at the end of the match inviting the opposition to level the score. Why am I still watching through my fingers the last 5 minutes of every match. Are my expectations to high or is this how other fans feel? PS Watching City since 1968 - not a glory hunter.
Its what we do best, you can take it, you've had years of practise. It wouldn't be the same if we didn't remind ourselves now and then what City is about.

Not to be pedantic but thought Otamendi was commanding in the air for the most part.

We have had a lot more poor performances than great, I'm delighted with the 3pts, but let's not kid ourselves , we're not fluid or great to watch .
No, but we have been and we will be again. Patience and understanding of what he wants to build would help you.
Sorry to disappoint you and some others, but next season will be when we see how good Pep really is.

Same here. Started following them because they were glorious – the most glorious team in Manchester. And no apologies for it.

Francis is the biggest cnut Ive ever heard - from an ex City player I feel my skin crawl everytime he speaks.

Don't agree with the arial battle though
