Burnley - Post match thread

Great result, reminded me of hull a few seasons ago when we won after going down to 10. Stupid from Fernandinho (haven't seen it yet) going to miss him for 4 games now...

Forget mason, we need to concentrate on what WE can do to get a result, we just got home today but our back line was once again fucking leaderless and abysmal. Stones can stay, bye bye the rest of em. Not fit for purpose, I'd feel safer if we had the gurning champion and all round fec, pj4 in our back line
Disagree. Refs has all the power to influence the outcome of the game.

First time that a TV channels commentators have openly stated that a referee was getting off field help today ,that has to be investigated but of course it won't be .
That's what the fourth official is for.

It's only video technology that isn't yet allowed.

John Hartson and Danny Mills laying in to Pep on BBC, pmsl

Not sure who the tossers were commenting on my stream but they were giving anyone at BBC and BT a run for their money.

I'm struggling to remember the last time I listened to a non-biased commentary on a City game?

Good win, and some real fight shown in the second half, Sergio was excellent second half, great to see the little fella scoring.

Mason is a bent twat, but that seems to be standard these days, I am expecting a whole raft of decisions to go our way second half of the season, as these things level themselves out, allegedly

I think it's unfair to moan about the ref, seeing as he had no input on any decision.
We were reffed from afar, via his ear piece. That in itself is very worrying.
Missed most of the second half including the 2 goals due to being a taxi and having a dodgy stream.
Oh well, at least i can watch MOTD tonight.

Of course you can complain about the ref.

He's more than happy to apply the laws of the game in regards to a red card but totally ignores the same laws when dishing out yellow cards. How Ward did not get sent off is either incompetent refereeing or corrupt refereeing, its as simple as that.

He went in late of KDB and caught him high it is a yellow card everyday of the week

He went straight through the back of Iheanacho with a slide challenge again its a yellow card every day of the week

He grabbed Kun's shirt when he had rolled past him and broke away again its a stonewall yellow card

He then dived in on Silva and wiped him out in a dangerous area which again should have been a yellow card.

I'm one of those people who think that football has gone soft and get pissed off at every challenge being a yellow card. However, late, cynical and challenges from behind always result in a yellow card.

Not the greatest post-match interview in the world, he's clearly pissed off at that bent twat Mason and the Burnley goal 'Is Bravo's fault' (perhaps he meant that sarcastically). Ultimately though, he just came across rather stroppy and awkward. A million miles from the cool Pep we're used to. He ain't happy.
Guessing you've not seen his interviews at Barca or Munich.

It's exactly the Pep I want to see. It means he's fucked Off.

Dismal first half. Looked like Pep was trying his hand at the English game. Second half so much better. Great to see the players response and good on pep for making the changes quickly at ht and going for it.

The last one I remember was us away at Sevilla. i.e. over a year ago.

PEP: Sergio played 90 minutes after four games out and I did not consider him playing 90 minutes again after two days. He helped us a lot.

PEP: When you play 10 against 11, sometimes you just defend but I wanted to make counter-attacks with KDB, Raheem and Sergio and we did it.

PEP: The players deserve credit and my respect. We are going to try to play better but we need the support. I love them. #mcfc
*swoons*

Pep is a spoilt child according to John Hartson
Pathetic attention seeking by Hartson. He was invited to comment on "Pep's fuming in that post match interview!" so is it too much to expect that the pundits analyse why Pep is bemused (pissed off) with PL officials. Having to also endure Mills in the same studio was too much for me..... shallow twats!

From the BBC

He has been asked if it was a mistake not to start with Sergio Aguero and David Silva.

"Sure it was a big mistake, you are right."

But you made the change...

"Yes. I am intelligent."

Hahahaha

They say it evens itself out. No is doesn't, not this season. Agree with all your points, the FA hate us with a passion and it shows every fucking week. Corrupt bastards.
