Burnley - Post match thread

Pep having another pop at the atmosphere in the postmatch press conference.

Says the players need our support.

He not wrong there, we need to get behind the lads , what with refs, media etc against us , it does make a difference , in the 2nd half when we got behind the lads City kept attacking, only when the crowd went quiet , the players tailed off too. You could say the oppo has the 12th man in the ref , us fans could be the 12th man for City. Create a siege mentality , only way is to fight back

At home, with 10 men, shit ref, Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool beat these 2-1 the media and pundits talk about they're back to winning ways. We do it and it's well City didn't play as well as expected or whatever. Fuck off. We won.

I screamed exactly the same thing at the car radio, kudos to the blue that phoned in and said it. Savage or his sidekick started going on about the lack of respect shown to journalists totally ignoring the total lack of respect shown to the managers by leading or downright stupid questions.

Hearing 2 managers saying "you'd better ask....." I wondered if they've been discussing the questioms from the press and have decided on a strategy.

Superb point. Just wish everyone would continue to support the team like they did at times to day

Can't wait for MOTD, but only to see their goal. I had Bravo being fouled twice during that, as you are not allowed to touch the keeper in that box. They'll probably ignore the ruling and say he should be stronger. Great game played by our team when everything was going against us. As far as the refereeing goes, it's been crap for the last couple of years. I'm not just talking about us, EVERY single manager complains after EVERY single game. Arrogant referees trying to be celebrities. Clattenberg best ref in the world? Get a grip FFS. There shouldn't even be an award for knowing the rules!

Didn't have a great view of rhinos tackle but was surprised to see a red card...Will look at it later and see if it was bad.
Mason was fucking awful today... Burnley player never looked at the ball and just jumped in Kolarov countless times and never got penalised.
Looked a bad tackle on Sagna and fuck all given...KDB was kicked in the face and no yellow card.... Silva was fouled just outside area and Mason have nothing and moaned at Silva.
Pep really needs to take a fine and say just how bent the officials are.
Thought Mason was going to disallow Clichys goal as he didn't seem to want to allow it and was checking his earpiece.
Thought we deserved to win and Kolarov had a cracking game..As did Silva and Kun.
Excellent 3 points against 12 men...Good save by Bravo too...Seemed like he must have been fouled because all the players were going mental.

There was also one early on, where he failed to play advantage when we had a very clear breakaway.

Ended up being an entertaining game and a ballsy win. Amazing what a couple of difference a cople of good finishes can do; quite how Sergio managed to get his shot in the net!

Kolarov had a cracking game and Yaya has simply been our best player over the Festive Season.

Good win in the circumstances, i.e, playing with a two-man disadvantage for an hour. Lee Mason was a fucking disgrace today and should never be allowed to officiate again.

Cracking goal from Gaël and an even better one from Kun.

Yaya was immense again and controlled midfield brilliantly, Nic was excellent at the back and Raheem caused them all sorts of problems with his pace.

Something for us to build on. Now, let's go to West Ham next week and get through to the fourth round.

In Mancini's first press conference the press were out for blood. We'd just sacked their boy Hughes. Pellegrini they loved. Probably because deep down they knew he wasn't a threat and was actually bringing City back to the levels of their beloved United and Liverpool.

While we are currently struggling they know that Pep will probably in time put and end to Klopp and Mourinho.

I want Pep angry. A bit of siege mentality has done us no harm in the past.
Agree totally, fuck them all
