I know a Blue from Oswaldtwistle not far from Burnley, double the race of super morons and you have what Ossy is like....but not my Blue mate :)
Cheers for that mate, it sounds like a wet wicket , town it is.

I've quoted wrong poster but thanks anyway
you'll be fine in Burnley, it's about 15 years ahead of where you're from
Ha! Can you take drinks to your seat at Burnley like you can at West Brom?

Having spent the first 11 of my 44 years in Manchester and the remainder in East Lancashire then I'm fairly well placed to comment on this. Burnley the town and their fans aren't the most welcoming on match days. The ground is more or less in the town centre and it's tempting to have a drink there before the match. If you do then be careful what you wear and if you do go there make sure you're in a group because it's not unusual for individuals to get picked off if they're an away fan. City are a big scalp for them and they could be on the look out. Just warning you and it may be I'm being OTT.
Didnt realise we were still in the 80s mate haha, i went the last season they were up and it was fine. I'd personally say the likes of spurs, whu and villa are more dodgey.

Gutted i cant make this one though, was a good day out last time

The "suicide squad" drink mainly in the Foresters pub, near the ground, all are banned from the game, but still cause "mischief" on match day.

Maybe the Blazing Squad can turn up without making a call this time then.....

Treat the trip like it was 20 years ago and everyone will be fine. Last time I heard of anything really bad was about 5 years ago when a Forest fan was murdered, after it kicked off in the town centre.

Pub wise there is a Spoons, and the posh Spoons (Lloyds) in the town centre. A great boozer tucked away from the centre called "The Bridge" it has loads of different ales on hand pump is worth checking out, as is the "Swan Inn".

Time flies - it was 2002. The culprit was from Burnley but didn't support them. He actually had a season ticket at another club.

As for my own plans, train to Hebden Bridge and a couple of hours there before making my way to Burnley - will probably pitch up in the cricket club that no-one else wants to go to.

Man City Supporters Group
Welcome to Turf Moor.
Information to share with Man City Supporters Group ahead of the upcoming fixture.
Man City Fan Zone
Burnley FC will be placing a marquee on the Harry Potts Way Car Park, next to the away turnstiles as a dedicated fan zone for Man City supporters. This will be open at 2:30pm, 3 hours ahead of kick off and will be serving alcohol and food at £3.00 a pint and reasonably priced food from a dedicated food outlet next to the marque.
We also have a projector and screen showing the Man City season 13/14 review as well as Sky Sports News.
In addition, the turnstiles and concourse area will be open 2 hours prior to kick off also serving food and drink at the same prices as the marque.
There will also be an inflatable football target challenge located at the far end of the away concourse area inside the stadium for supporters to test their shooting skills.
Burnley Football Club want to welcome Man City to our humble, but friendly stadium and give you a positive day out.

Sounds good to me .
I just hope the concourse is a little less crowed than it was at Anfield .
It was hard work going to the toilets at half time at Anfield .

Some great pubs in Hebden Bridge - the Fox and Goose at the bottom of Heptonstall Road has just won CAMRA'S Pub of the Season award and is West Yorkshire's first co-operative/community owned pub, plenty of quality beers, though no draught lagers or food but you can take your own - but as one of the owners I may be a bit biased. Also The Old Gate is excellent for real ale lovers. Todmorden has The Masons Arms, a mile out of the town centre, and the White Hart (Wetherspoons) centrally plus the Polished Knob opposite the market - good cheap beers and food.

Was just considering Todmorden so may stop off at the Wetherspoons then
