Burnley Vs City Post Match Thread

Embarrassing. No trophies this season.

Quite a raggish quote.

We've had enough shite in recent history, but I wouldn't care if we didn't win any trophies this season
so long as the team showed some passion and endeavour, by skill and by fighting.

Not a huge fan of Pellegrini and his tactic (yep tactic) but tonight that was all about the players. We seem to be getting outworked in every game and getting the results we deserve. We have to blow Barcelona away on Wednesday now but quite frankly their seems to be a lethargy throughout the club. As fans we seem to struggle to raise the enthusiasm and now the players seem to have caught the same disease. Very, very strange and inexplicable.

Blow Barca away on Wednesday? Are you fucking kidding me. Wednesday will be the final nail in Pellegrini's coffin and the way we are playing if we end the game within one goal of them I will be absolutely amazed. We are dire at the moment and I wouldn't fancy us against anyone.

3 losses in 4 games

6 wins in the last 14 games with only 2 clean sheets.

Its totally unacceptable and these players and this manager are letting the owner down big style

Poor performance and poor fans I'm afraid. At the game and the amount of jeering and booing was a joke worst I've ever seen City fans. Singing for Mancini? Booing the Champions?

JOKE

Some of the fans are becoming more rag like I'm afraid. Sense of self entitlement is increasing. Just look at how some idiots take delight in bashing our players and manager. Disgrace.
This is the entitled modern football fan. Unfortunately can't win every game and there's no easy games in the premier league.

You could tell after 15mins the players were not up for this game, manuel just sat there like he does no shouting or barking at the poor display, looks to me he's lost the dressing room just like Roberto had, the powers that be gave into the players and made a rod for themselves, history repeating itself.

Spot on mate. No atmosphere at big champions league nights, fans turning up just expecting us to win, can't sell out at home. Loads of people leave early to miss the traffic.

7 years ago I would have given my right testee to be where we are now. COME ON CITY!

It's the fans fault then.

Excellent.

From the mind of Pellers
"I have had a look at the opposition and my plan is - if we knock it around the midfield without any real direction we should be OK"
"I need to make a couple of subs. I'll bring on the premier leagues top scorer, no point in playing him from the start, and also I'll bring on the player that got axed from the champions league squad when we bought the premier leagues top scorer. Can't see how that can go wrong"

43 years I've supported City, since I was 8. Been there through all the crap times, the rollercoaster rides of relegations and promotions. I've laughed and I've cried, had season tickets at Maine Road travelling up from London and thoroughly enjoyed our recent glories. I still feel absolutely gutted when we lose; it ruins the weekend completely. It never gets an easier, ever. I love this club so much; they've been a massive part of my life and always will be. I feel hollow tonight, totally empty. Unless Chelsea totally capitulate, we're going home without a title and it seems we've got a massive job on to stay in the top 4, let alone qualify for the Champion's League. So much possession, not taking chances, indifferent performances and collective apathy on the pitch. I accept the title race is over. Let's concentrate on consolidating second place and making the changes necessary, whatever they may be, during the Summer.
Fair play to you! Really!

But about that 2nd place... You speak like Mancini in April 2013... He was always talking bout an invisible importance of that 2nd place and said that he'll let the youngsters play when City provides that 2nd place... And he didn't Nor did Kidd... That is offtop but what I want to say is that 2nd place, or 3rd place, it means a shit
