Caicedo

For me he has improved enough over the season to avoid the cull in the summer. Give him a chance only twenty but at least he is giving it a go. My only concern is he won't improve fast enough to stay with where we are meant to be heading but for now I am prepared to give him some slack.

big phil is doing well at the moment, its fair to say that anyone who writes him off knows fuck all, but to say he is better than tevez is madness

I dont rate Caicedo either he is a nightmare. I dont think he understands the off side rule as he is always caught off side. Yes he is young and has scored some goals and is something different but we have got better options and will bring in a new forward in the summer so I think he may well be sold. I would rather have Sturridge in ahead of him and even Evans as they add more than Caicedo does to the team.

Apart from, you know, errrr, oh yeh, GOALS!!!

This thread turned laughable when someone implied Big Phil is better than Tevez????

Phil is a top bloke and i would love to see him improve, but the reality is, he is nowhere near a top4 stricker (not even a bench option), and thats the only thing next seasons City manager should be concentrating on come season end.

Big Phil is not Big 4. I wish him all the best wherever he ends up.

bang on the money.

Exactly - Sturridge and Evans do not add more to the team than Caicedo - they both look poor and add nothing to our attack. Ched Evans really does not look to be premiership class. I'd go as far as to say that Sturridge looks positively miserable these days and looks as though he dosen't even want to be at the club.

Caicedo doesn't have a right foot, but he's a real handful for defenders, and has quite a good touch. He's on the same wavelength as Ireland and Robinho, and brings them into the game.

He's raw, but look what Ireland did to his own game over the Summer.

It's one thing to pigeonhole a player in his late twenties, but a big mistake to do that with Caicedo who is improving with every game. As his experience and confidence grows he will continue to improve

He's also valuable to us at defending set-pieces as our plyers are generally small - something Hughes needs to address
