You should support United if your from Salford! I wonder how many united fans live in moss side? Not many!

More than you'd think!

But then again there are more City fans in places such as Stretford , Sale and Eccles than you'd think ..... my boss , a rag , is always moaning that his local club in Firswood , Stretford , is full of City fans!

rusholme, moss side, fallowfield area's was always about 50/50.

most of the rags were armchair fans who only made noise in the boozers.

Give your ed a wobble, loads of top blues from Salford, as for Stretford which isn't in Salford, the same goes, is there many Oldham fans in Moston. It is virtually bordering Oldham isn't it.
As for the Moss, plenty of rags from there.

Come to my local in Moston and tell everyone their from Oldham! The response will be pretty funny! Good luck!

Funny you should say that ......

out of chance i called into the Whitworth one weekday , that small pub that was opposite Whitworth Park , and this was probably three or four days before a derby game was due to take place at Maine Road .... there were a number of gobby , scruffy , older rags in there singing anti-City songs and playing pool , looked to be out of work , definetely not young kids ...... i thought to myself if City fans come in here at the weekend of the game , as they surely will , it's definitely gonna kick off ... and it did do too !

Police had to close Moss Lane East off for a good while before the game following the predictable pub 'battle'!

being a local i used to booze in the clarence in rusholme for donkey's years. there were rags who were my pals in those days and yes they used to sneak off to the whitworth in the week.
