Callum Doyle

He's still young. 2 years behind THB, in age but about 18 months in development. He's a unit which gives the impression he can't be good on the ball or cumbersome, but I will be watching his development with a manager who should know him well.

Comon the kids!

His footballing/technical ability is very good, one of his strengths.

Despite his size,im not yet convinced he is comfortable with his physique and is still learning his capabilities.....he is currently cumbersome and struggles to recover as a result, but hopefully that will become less of an issue as he develops and stops growing.

He is no where near the finished article, hence the new loan without option.

Played in a Liverpool drubbing today, anyone catch the game and obviously in particular Callums performance?
Had one eye for 30 mins or so. It was ok performance from him, but as far as I can tell, their midfield isn't ready to play the sort of game their manager want them to play and if it continues, the defenders are going to look bad.

Cheers,i suspect, with the new manager,Doyle has been brought in to stamp the City passing from the back/through the lines style on the club.
Hopefully,as you say,the midfield soon catch on otherwise it may be an awkward start to the season and probably a long one.

Yes, hope for the same and if it does, he'll have a big role to play.

Of course Leicester wont be playing the calibre of Liverpool every week in the 2nd Division so I wouldn't read too much into that performance.

Cup match - HT Burton Albion 0-2 LCFC - Nacho has a goal and an assist to Ndididdiddi. LCFC very deliberate in their passing, no room for a diagonal display from young Callum. Doyle blocked a close-in header away with his knee, saved a goal prolly. The Burton mgr looks like a drawing in a super hero comic. [edit: 80%! possession at HT for LCFC]

Leicester are killing then with possession. Switched on as soon as I saw your post.

Leicester are very much playing Pep ball, and its great to watch.

Doyle had another very impressive game on the left of a 3,his passing through the lines is exceptional.
He hasn't yet been put under too much pressure defensively,so when that time comes......it will be interesting to see if that aspect of his game has also improved.

Good that Pep's influence is being implemented and our players are being used to help teams adapt.

Hopefully Leicester can build on an encouraging start and do well further into the season.

Chelsea's "Cesare Casadei is set to join Callum Doyle on loan at Leicester"

Casadei was the top scorer at the recent U20 WC in Argentina, beastly Italian kid,
interesting guy for Doyle to mix with
Looks like he has just got the winner on his debut, looks a handful.

Doyle has had another great game, his passing is awesome, better than his defending currently......he gets forward brilliantly and finds eye of the needle balls.

He's already become integral to their winning ways.

Another very good game, although he was caught flat footed for the Rotherham equaliser and beaten in the air......it wasnt entirely his mistake as his defensive partner and keeper could also have done much better.

His confidence and composure grows by the game,he is also looking more athletic and aware.Strangely though, defending, especially aerially,is still the weakest part of his play......going forward, his passing and vision, are exceptional, and he really is vital to Leicester's new style and approach.

He's still 19......

Another 3 points, they are looking tasty.
