Norwich City currently struggling with a depleted squad. Some nice touches by Doyle but he got sucked into no man’s land at one point. Still looks a very capable passer of the ball, with an eye to split the lines.
Not all youngsters will make it in England, and that might also include one or two of those we have recently signed. It's also rather likely that we'll be saying farewell to some of our more experienced but injury-prone defenders. I think Doyle may yet have a chance with us, though I still think that his future might ultimately be in midfield.Given we have signed 3 defenders with another coming, I can't see a place for Callum or THB. Such a shame.
Interesting - never thought of him in midfield. I have always thought he would make a great leader in the middle of a back four! Anyway, it's another reason to watch other teams when there is feck all on TV. I try to watch their progress away from us.Not all youngsters will make it in England, and that might also include one or two of those we have recently signed. My only concern with him in a back four in the top flight is his lack of pace. That could be compensated for by other players of course, but it remains a doubt in my mind. That said, his passing, both long and between the lines, is brave and arguably ahead of anyone we currently have in defence, which makes me feel he could play ahead of the back four.Interesting - never thought of him in midfield. Maybe Doyle but we are not going to buy THB.Given we have signed 3 defenders with another coming, I can't see a place for Callum or THB. Such a shame.
I would bet good money he will be sold PSR book balancing sale. There is little likelihood of Stones being with us after next season nor Ake the year after that. Indeed, the club might be happy to get them off the books even before their contracts expire, especially if their continual injuries prevent them playing more. Doyle is contracted through to 2027 so should either get his first Premier League loan next year or be kept in Manchester.
Perhaps. However, he has a long contract with us and needs a year in the top league to prove himself and boost his value. As I said above, not all young defenders coming from abroad will make it with us (Savic, Nastasic), for a variety of reasons, so I'm hoping Doyle gets a season with us before we deem him surplus to requirements.I would bet good money he will be sold PSR book balancing sale.
Maybe not.I would bet good money he will be sold PSR book balancing sale.

Walker Stones and Ake must be on borrowed time.We bought 3 defenders I'll be shocked now we bring him back

i expect with all the spending we may be pushing Profit and sustainability rules to the limit and selling academy players is a good way to balance the books as they are 100% profit. If I understand it selling older players is not as beneficial.Maybe not.
Not sure what balancing we have to do but there is a few of the " older" players that we may try and get a few bob for.
Possibly another loan next season and see what opportunity is available then.
Stones, Ake, Philipps, Grealish, Bernardo are nearer to the exit door than he is.
Having said that, Callum may want to leave, looking enviously at some of the other younger players that have left us.
