Either way what he is asking is screaming to her to get out. It's sad that he has left it so late, marrying her and having 2 kids. I know I don't know all but I truly think he is scum regardless of whether he loves her or not. He didn't love her enough to tell her before she got too deep.
I get he may have had hard choices in life. But he has now made someone elses life difficult for his own selfish reasons.

She needs to leave. If he wants to ''discuss'' an open marriage later what he is truly saying is he's scared. He has no idea what the other life will be like so wants to be able to fall back on her. She's his net. And fuck her feelings cos she can wait around while he decides how far he wants to go.
And frankly he'd still be living a lie. As tough as it is for her she really should leave. Or in reality boot him out. I bet she already has doubts about who he's thinking of while having sex with her to make it great. Especially if he's gay and not into women.

What should she do? Stay and trust that he won't experiment/ cheat on her? Or leave?

I'm struggling here.

Husband tells wife that he finds men attractive.

Wife considers continuing as normal in the hope that he won't experiment?

She may be optimistically hoping that perhaps this is nothing more than a temporary aberration, a fantasy, an itch that needs scratching.

But the reality is, how will he know until he tries?

Surely he is asking her to consent to him "experimenting" so that he can find out, so it is doomed to failure if she continues only in the hope that he won't experiment. Because he has to.

I can't help but think that it's game over and when that's the case it's better to take the pain now rather than drag it out over time and live a life of regrets.
