Can Steven Gerrard be classed as a domestic failure?

Yes. I think if Gerrard was in our side between 2010 and 2018 we would have won more including the champions league.

And that is coming from someone who believes Yaya is the greatest player to play for this club.
Nah cant have that, toure is better in my eyes.

No, it's a team effort to win silverware. Gerrard was an excellent player and stayed loyal to a mainly just top four team.

Rubbish, there are players with us who aren't as good as Gerrard and are serial winners.
He didn't win a single premier league and the question isn't whether we had better players, it's about slippy being a domestic failure...which he was.

Imho, one of the most overrated players of recent years. He was outstanding in their Champions league final win, under Benitez, and scored a cup final winning goal, but against a shite West Ham. Despite those highlights, my abiding memory is of him overhitting long balls - season after season.
There was a mildly humourous video put out some years ago where James Corden was giving the England squad a spoof team talk, and he addressed Lampard and Gerrard, saying to Lampard that he was a good player, but, not quite as good as Gerrard. That summed up the general media view, which I always disagreed with - I'd have taken Lampard over Gerrard at any time.
It'll be very interesting to see what develops now they have similar calibre of clubs to manage.

No he was not.
Its not tennis, its a team game.
If Maradona was playing with Norwich, he wouldn't have won too much either.
