Can the wounded animal beat PSG?

I don’t think it would be that remarkable. We play in Paris first so that is a huge bonus, assuming we can put out a back 4 of Sagna, Oto, Mangala and Clichy and play Yaya, Fern and Fern all holding in front them that is a solid team and easily capable of getting a clean sheet. I’d be tempted with KDB and Navas to make it a 5 man mid with lots of energy and pace and Aguero / Nacho leading the line looking to hit on the break. Easily capable of stealing a 1-0 away. Even if we lose 1-0 that would still set us up nicely for the home leg where anything could happen on the night.

It does depend on us setting up to be hard to beat which we never do but stranger things have happened.

An away defeat 2v1 is what Pellegrini will be playing for

PSG bought better than we did. And they didn't seem to worry about FFP.

After Mancini won the title he clamored for more players. He wasn't backed though. Instead, we got a mixed bag of sign-ons.

I remember at the time that Milan was under duress and that they were selling Ibra and Silva (Thiago, not David, LOL) ... and Mancini visited Milan.

We fucked up big time, IMO. Should have signed both Ibra and Silva, backing Mancini; instead we signed Rodwell, Wright, Sinclair, Maicon, Nastasic and Garcia. What a fucking disaster!

That year in particular sealed it in faror of PSG.

Though Ibra is lazy, controversial, and is not at all the best of team players... he fucking does want to win and takes no quarter from teammates who under perform. Plus, he wins the league and scores the most goals for any league he's in. Some hate Ibra... I think he's Ibra-cadabra. Would have won the Ballon D'or except that Messi and Ronaldo just happened to be playing at the same time.

If you hate Ibra and completely disagree with my assessment of him... fair enough; we could have bought Thiago Silva and RvP. Maybe RvP would have been the better signing assuming of course that the Rags wouldn't sign Ibra.

For me 2012-2013 is where we screwed up big time.

Cracking post, i totally agree that season was huge and we never backed Mancini, that will always be remembered as the season the board turned on Mancini.

So sad we never got the chance to experience the domination he would have brought us all!

MANCINI WOOOOOAH MANCINI WOOOOAH

I have never heard the fans sing Pellegrini name with such passion

We missed a trick, lets hope Pep was worth backstabbing Mancini and wasting our progress with this useless holistic manager

There's wounded and then there is an animal that's lost a couple of limbs and had it's guts splattered all over a motorway after a high speed collision with a lorry whilst the only vet in the vicinity with any chance of saving it is pissed up slumbered in a hotel room with his eyes rolling round his head muttering to himself whilst his wife is packing his bags and checking in for the flight back to Spain

I think we'll get a shock win in Paris and will have a nervous draw at home with them going very close to taking us to extra time

on the fucking money.

We'll go over there and kick their arses. They've just won the league, they've clocked off for the season. The same happened with Chelsea last season and Bayern a couple of years ago. I really think we'll do it.

Defend like dogs without Kompany? What are we going to do build a wall in front of the goal during the warm up?

We are not capable if this so we need to score more than they do.

Don't crush my hopes Millwallaway, I honestly can't see us getting the better of Psg over two legs, from following this club for over 30 years crazy unexpected results happen but that was with plucky motivated players playing for each other.
