Can we afford to let Barry go?

If Gaz Baz is allowed to go we could be left with only Rodwell (injury prone) and Garcia ( not a prem player) to provide cover. Your thoughts!
barry has just guided everton to victory over Chelsea mom by a mile

Ludicrous decision by MP to allow it to happen. Honeymoon over, not impressed but very impressed with our Mr Consistency. Hope we had a clause to recall if we get desperate!!!

Barry will have a couple of great games for Everton but these will be mixed in with four or five useless performances. We had the best out of Barry, time to move on.

What makes you say that, he never did that for us. In fact I would say he was arguable our most consistent player for the past 3 seasons. To say he would have 4 or 5 useless games for every 2 good ones is absolute rubbish. Did you watch us on a regular basis for the past few season or are you going off what Adrian Durham and the rest of the gutter press say about him?

I said that we have had the best of Barry, he has been superb for us, but last season and in pre season he was showing signs that his best days are behind him. Whether we have got a better replacement is another matter. Many times last season he had an excellent game, only to be followed with a sluggish performance.

Yes, he's on the train back right now.

I can only recall about 2 or 3 useless games he gave us, madness to suggest that he had one or two great games and then some useless ones, madness

He's the wise man in the middle. Nothing fazes him, cool as a cucumber. Plays like a European player. Great technique and vision.

Miss you GAZ BAZ. One of the best deep lying midfielders I've ever seen.

I thought Barry continually gave away fouls and was just a fraction late

Great tackle to save a goal, but we got rid at the right time. And today was actually more proof of that.

Everton sat deep and let Chelsea come onto them. The space is therefore restricted and Barry doesn't have to go one for one with his midfield opponent

Did you watch Toure and Rodwell today? Hardly a decent tackle between them.

Barry was a great shield for the back 4, constantly breaking up the play. He's also a great out ball for the GK, something we miss as Joe just keeps punting it long now Barry has gone.

just watched gareth barry give a masterclass in midfield play against a very good chelsea team for the bluelosers , how we can keep someone like garcia and let gazbaz go for nothing is beyond comprehension , perhaps because hes not a fashionable foreign player .But we definitley missed his influence at cardiff and stoke , can we have him back please ? , they can have rodwell, garcia, fernandinho or nasri , martinez can take his pick.

Barry

Can't see anything on this but he was MOM today against Chelsea. Just gutted that we let him go. He was the main man in our midfield and as a result, Yaya is now wasted trying to do what Gareth did instead of making direct runs into the box
