Can we afford to let Barry go?

We've not missed Barry at all; Dinho's been an improvement for sure.

I see what you did there
Once Fern can read the game like Gaz Baz he will then become a good buy........... hopefully
Only about 5 years to wait then.

Barry was very underrated for us - actually has been most of his career. But, there is a time when a club has to move on. Same with Kolo really they are the past, both were good pro's for us but in truth were a tad overpaid. That was not their fault but it was necessary when we were trying to establish the club prior to CL qualification. Looking from the outside they both have started well for their new clubs but we must get behind the future and not dwell on what would have happened if we have kept players on huge wages. We are not paying GB's wages at all so don't believe the nonsense of us paying a %. Early days this year lets be grateful that no one team has got away as yet - A few of the clubs will fall away and we will get stronger as the manager gets his message across.

^^^^

This, he's had a couple of good games, but he's not what we need now for where we're looking to go. Congrats to him, thanks for he memories just a shame Everton aren't picking up the full bill

Proving a poor decision to let him go.
I doubt. He is on the decline.

He hasn't even been one of Everton's best performers tonight. He's been solid enough but caught out a few times when he had no business to which you come to expect with Barry.

You've not called a single thing right, mate.

Quality on it, and always puts in a shift, but he's late too many times. A few examples of that tonight, and he was a little lucky not to get sent off

Yellow carded once, but there were two other occasions where he could have picked up another.

Yap. Was fortunate not to be sent off. A dick ref could've done it.

Yap. Was fortunate not to be sent off. A ref doing his job would've done it.
