It would not have taken that much different for him to have four goals. And his hold up play and touch were in fact better than usual.

Aren't we allowed to comment on his performance then other than to sing his praises ? Some people think he did well today, others not. Isn't that what a forum is supposed to be about ? He has lots of strengths but a few weaknesses too. I think you have to accept the high and lows with a player like Dzeko.

By now it is OBVIOUS some people here just flat-out dislike Dzeko, mostly for non-football reasons (i.e. people saying he had a BAD game today).

We played 3 games, and have 7 points.

Dzeko has 2 goals in 3 games, one an equalizer and the other one for the lead today (and you could argue he played a great part in Skrtel's mistake turned in by Tevez)

You can dislike him all you want, but No Dzeko - and we could have 3 points (3 ties) in 3 games instead of 7.

So - can we cut the lad a fucking break??

Just saying - people need to get their head out their ass - you can dislike the player, but please have some sense and at least save it for when he struggles.

He has the respect of most fans at the game, his name was sung a few times again today, don't confuse BM and real life.

Sorry but ive backed him since hes joined but ive had enough now, the guy scores tap ins yes whch is good, but his general play with the ball at his feet and first touch is dire.

He's not discussed subjectively on here, the spirit of the old **** main stand boo boys lives on. Back the lad, he wears a blue shirt and he scores goals - wtf is wrong with you people. Either short memories or know fuck all about city in the first place

It is quite simple. He will score bags of goals if the team were to play to his strengths when he is played. He is not and never has been a player to run the channels, track back into his own half and then break forward with speed or play with his back to goal against a dominating centre half.

Stick him in the box with decent supply and he will score plenty. The deficiency imo is the set up of the team when he plays.

He will move on sadly, but will be a star elswhere.
