Can we do this to stop Delap's throw ins

think we should ask for the towel for every throw in especially if we get in front just waist as much time as poss.really use it against them.if we take the piss the fa may even stop them from useing it.(i know is not all down to the towel but we can use it to our advantage)

or every city fan with an air horn every time they get a throw give it a honk.

Or we could get a keeper who can catch the ball.

Oh please, please tell me how great Shay is again.

'Both' goals would have been stopped by my lad who plays for his college.

At least we can thank the ref for the point.

Another thread turning into slagging off the players, great, just what we need, i wonder who will be next.
Now you come to mention it I thought Tevez was shit last night. Didn't hear his name once.... Workhorse my arse!

You have to stand 2-3 yards from the touch line. So we don't we get Santa Cruz onto Adebayor's shoulders and that way he won't be able to throw the ball that far
Don't know if there's any rule against that. Might set a dangerous precedent where delap sits on someones shoulders to launch balls into the box and all the stoke forwards climb on Sorensons outstretched arms to outleap toure and lescot. They'll have no worries of us hitting them on the break as we only ever pass sideways

This actually had me on the floor in stitches picturing it! hahahahahahaha

Thats not allowed. Remember it from an ask the ref during the euros. You cannot have someone lift you up. People would do it at corners to score.

On a slight tangent here -

What would Corrigan, Nixon or Coton have done with these corners?

Its not the throw ins

Its not picking up the guys running in

I cannot fucking understand how we and other teams keep getting done by this

Nice idea, but wouldn't sticking 6'5" Stuart Taylor in goal instead of 6' Given be more practical. Of all the throw ins last night, I can only recall Given clearing the ball once.

Also, why is it only Delap, of all the players in the country, can chuck the ball any distance? Doesn't seem that difficult to me. Come on Micah, get some practice in.
Exactly. I bet a good percentage of players can chuck the ball as far as Delap. Give 'em a taste of their own medicine.

Coton (spit) was a line keeper so the same as Given I would say.
