Can we do this to stop Delap's throw ins

Get the players start as if they were going to defend the throw in properly then just as he throws it rush to the goal line so that there is not gaps and they cant score. Just do that for corners free kicks everything actually while we're at it we may as well just play with 11 on the goal line.

We'll still concede.

Stokes next signing.

Moving the hoardings is a genius idea. It would fuck them royally away from home.

To combat it at Stoke. Well that's the million dollar question. The only thing I can think of is lining Santa, Ade, Viera and Micah across the edge of the area to which the throw in is trajected. They have enough height to stop it coming down in the six yard box. I would also put a player 2 yards from the touchline, just being a nuiscance. Causing a distraction and potentially send players out to warm up but constantly moving.

At Coms I would make sure every towel was smeared with dog shit.

Doe's anyone remember about 10 years ago a Tranmere Rovers player who was similarly gifted when it cam to throw ins? .

Yep, Dave Challinor.

Put 5 men on the halfway line, instantly takes out more Stoke players,

also you can't stop them with this, as long as the player isn't in the way, put one of our substitutes right next to delap on the touchline where he will enter the field of play, literally touching shoulders, as long as the sub don't move it's legal.

it,s easy just do like the rugby players do lift your team mate up from the waist?

You have to stand 2-3 yards from the touch line. So we don't we get Santa Cruz onto Adebayor's shoulders and that way he won't be able to throw the ball that far
Don't know if there's any rule against that. Might set a dangerous precedent where delap sits on someones shoulders to launch balls into the box and all the stoke forwards climb on Sorensons outstretched arms to outleap toure and lescot. They'll have no worries of us hitting them on the break as we only ever pass sideways

chop his arms off, stoke play to his throw ins and do it well, but i would play football the way it should be played

I actually think this was one of the few things Hughes got right tactically last season. He left our three smallest and fastest payers (Robinho, Shaun and another one I can't remember) on the halfway line. The Clayheads had to bring four players back out of the box through fear of being outpaced on the break. Worked a treat as I remember. Not seen anybody else try this, either.
