The only things Utd have over us at the moment is the experience to close out games ( which we'll get with time) , their diving ( which i hope we never have to revert to) , the fear of away sides at OT that means they are beaten before they start ( in time, we'll have that aura) and the fact that referees get all starstruck at OT........again, Eastlands will be the same for refs in years to come.
Just give it time & we won't just close the gap on Utd, we'll blast past the twats

Nothing is more obvious, ffs. Nothing is more inevitable. It's not rocket science. The rags can't live on past glories and the odd Michael Owen tap in. They are fucked and we have more money than God. No brainer.

I've be very optimistic in pre season with our chances of making a move on the big four and closing the gap on the red side of the city but after todays performance can we really believe that one day we will be as good as the rags? Yeah we have a great starting 11 but outside of that what have we? We cant afford to just rely on our home form this year. Robinho has to show up at away games. They've got Rooney Berba and Owen we've got Adebayor, Bellamy and Tevez (united cast off). United have Fergie a mastermind at winning titles and most successful manager of all time we've got Mark Hughes he played for the master but can he learn form him and bring it to the Eastlands? I really hope so but im starting to have my doubts. Let me know what my fellow blue mooners are thinking?

Hang on weren't the rags playing Madrid or somebody when we were losing to Mansfield in front of 3500 not so long ago and wasn't it only 2 weeks ago we were winning in Barca in their most important warm up game while the Rags were losing at Burnley!! will we every catch them up? oh I think we are well on the way to starting the catch up game.

lol, Grimsby could close the gap on utd given the right circumstances... it just so happens we may have those circumstances, so yes, we could.

You don't rate the players outside of our staring 11? Our average bench: Taylor, Zabaleta, Onuoha, De Jong, Weiss, Bellamy, RSC.
