Can we ever close the gap on United?

Will we ever be able to make tackles like Fletcher did yeserday in his own box and be sure we won't concede a penalty - I doubt it. United are always going to hard to beat at home because they intimidate refs and get the big decisions when they need them.

Short answer. Yes we can. All it needs is time and investment in terms of facilities and people both on and off the pitch. In the 12 months ADUG have been in charge they have made amazing progress and this will continue.

MU are in a slight trough at the moment so that helps although I wouldn't count on that in the long run its more the natural cycle of things and they are due a downturn.

This season it is too early to judge. So far we have played 3 and won 3 and conceded none. Against this the teams we have played have only scored 4 goals between them this season and Portsmouth are a Championship side waiting to happen - yet each time we have been put under pressure we have looked 'wobbly' so I do have a concern when we start meeting sides who have some quality upfront and are not going to stand off and admire the quality of the personel in front of them. We also need to get the passing tighter and go through the gears quicker and maintain a higher tempo for longer periods throughout the game.

So keep the faith young Jay and the Evil Empire will be destroyed :)

we've already closed the gap look at the players and compare teams.... and if in two matches time utd play like they did against arsenal we will hammer them...
