Can we please stop singing it now?

I see the City song validation committee has reformed. Please keep us fully informed of developments and I will make sure the news reaches the ears of the proles.

Did they ever go away? we normally get a thread a week when some shrinking violet is embarrassed by this song

Do half of our song police actually go to the game. It's seems to get belted out loud and proud at most games by 40 odd thousand blues

It's only a song.

Very few football songs make sense. I have walked alone, for a start. There's probably more than one Adam Johnson in Denton let alone the world, West Ham fans are not perpetually blowing bubbles, Birmingham is a shit hole but we don't really want to go home because we've paid 50 quid to be there to watch the football, the baby is clearly not Adebayor's.

It's sung to wind up opposition fans, no other reason. That's fine, that's a legitimate reason for a terrace chant to exist.

Very few chants are actually intelligent, logical or particularly witty but that's never been the point has it?

I honestly don't see the big deal about this song, it's barely worth mentioning in my opinion, it's just a song, it's not amazingly poetic but nor is it along the lines of Hillsborough/Munich chants.
