Can we reach the Champions League final?

The fans will miss out, and the players to an extent, but in terms of achievement it will match any that have gone before.

Long way to go yet but I like the format of this competition. If we can get past Real Madrid we are in Lisbon and can sit back and watch a few games and enjoy it before we play again.
We won't get the chance to break Liverpool's title for throwing a record number of foreign pensioners in any available fountain, but I guess we can live with that.

Everyone is saying UEFA will shaft us but as I understand we are trying to build bridges with them and Khaldoon spoke in a conciliatory tone straight after. The CAS verdict. Also, UEFA had the chance to stich us in the first leg but as I recall the ref was fair and gave us decisions.
That Referee family are owed an apology then as I believe Tebas took him for a meal afterwards and he’s not been since since...

:)

It will be bittersweet if we win it as we can’t be there however I do feel like it would be like a weight off our shoulders getting that first one out the way. The rags, Chelsea and dippers all struggled for years despite having dominance domestically.

One took 3 tries and another 4 to win it.

Seems strange that we're favourites to win the competition with some bookies considering we've never won it previously and the likes of Bayern, Barca and Real are still in it. It's all about building us up to win so that it's a bigger failure when we don't.

Personally, I can't see us winning it. In a tight game I can see us getting fucked over by a decision. If we win it...we'll have to be convincing in every game and at this stage of the competition, it's difficult.

I think that's down to people having the Premier League as their main source of football, so they base their judgments off of what they see there. And in fairness we have a strong squad who on our day look unbelievably good. Our issues have tended to come from getting lost in our own heads, and I think people don't think about that when they make their bets.

dippers on their 3rd attempt, rags - 5th and Chelsea 10th. Chelsea is probably the best example, they were expected to win it long before they did

Another season comes to an end... except it doesn't. This season can still be one of our best ever and it's 4 matches away.

Chances?

I'm hoping, if we make it to the SF, it's Barca rather than Bayern.

Typical City would win it this year after all the FFP stuff.

Not wanting to be a doom and gloom merchant, but going on some of our defending since the restart and basically at times this season as well,we would need to improve it drastically to stand a chance...

If we play at our best and have no more or less luck than anyone else we have a great chance.

Strangely having the rounds only over one leg goes against us though as luck has more of a chance over a one-off match and we have been great at home recently.
