Can you speak more than one language?

Aside from Anglesey and in rural shops when English people walk in, does anyone still use Welsh?

I’ve got a couple of friends who are first language Welsh. I’d say there’s 300,000 native speakers there and an emphasis on a bilingual nation.

I’m looking at brushing up on my Spanish for future trips to Malaga and Buenos Aires. It’s courtesy more than anything. I also will look at Welsh when I go and live there.

Can anyone speak anything aside from English to a good level? What, how and why? Thinking about how to learn.
Ive used this guys lessons, very good & quite easy to follow..this is my 4th language

I have a smattering of French, the main problem with this is my excellent pronunciation which makes French people think i’m fluent and rabbit away back to me a whole load of shite and I’m fucked.

Or alternatively, they are just slagging you off royally for your pitiful attempt and diabolical accent?

Pretty good Spanish but hoping to be fully fluent in the next couple of years. The one thing I will say is that learning a language properly is so much more difficult than you could ever imagine. The vast majority of Brits that come here make a real effort in the first year then just give up and either live in peace, in an English speaking area or go home.
