Cannot Wait

I'll never buy it. They can literally go straight in the cryotherapy chamber, have a light warm down in anti gravity then every limb personally massaged by specialists. Don't want to fucking hear a word of it. Give the cunts 50 hours on a building site labouring they will soon see how good they have it.

If they want to go back to 1970s one game a week they can go back to the equivalent wages aswell. The money has to come from somewhere.
Look fatigue is a major issue I am not going to even bother arguing the toss. Mental fatigue is probably the most pernicious aspect which is often disregarded. Now I agree with one thing you say and that is, the pay levels currently on offer. In one word they are excessive.

I'm actually thinking that this coming season may be my last as a season ticket holder.

I've dropped out of the CL scheme as last season I was sat there thinking "Why have I rushed around like a blue-arsed fly, thrown some food down my throat far earlier than I normally would, just to battle through rush hour traffic to sit in the cold and damp, bored out of my skull, when I could be sat at home, warm, with a glass of beer or wine?"

I really didn't get the same buzz last season and with quadruples, trebles, the CL & World Club Cup win, the four-on-the-trot, have now seen it all. It's not just the players who are suffering physical and mental fatigue.

100% last couple of seasons in particular have taken its toll on me tbh. Alot of it is the added hate and bile we are under seige with constantly and pressure of having to win every game. Anything less is deemed a failure now. Saying that can't wait to see lads like Jacob Wright etc playing in pre season trying to make a name for himself etc:)

The fatigue for me comes from all the media bullshit and phony regulations designed to stop competition.

I'm genuinely drained by the whole 115 saga, and truth be told, I've not enjoyed the success quite as much as I would have because I feel like there's a huge weight on my shoulders.

In terms of the media, I can barely stand to watch any analysis before and after games or even MotD at times because of how biased it has all become. There's been a huge drop in standards the last few years and watching the likes of Neville and Carragher acting like they're doing fanzone is unbearable. Even Lee Dixon made me feel like turning my back on supporting England he was that bad during the last 16 game.

Then you have social media where idiots are brainwashed into thinking the Etihad is genuinely half empty every week. I once came across a Norwich fan who thought his club had bigger crowds and support than City because of what he'd read online. It's absolute madness.

Talk about first World problems! I get it though, you need some jeopardy to be present.

93.20 and winning the CL for the first time are damned near impossible to beat and that’s without throwing the treble in as part of the latter.

Winning the CWC was strangely enjoyable too.

I still want more though, just not as badly.

Good grief, I hope Pep isn't reading this or other similar poster's on this thread.
He really would be thinking "Am I wasting my time here at this Club.

I like it for… oh, about a week. Then the fuckers should be back in harness!

Seriously, the problem of burnout for Rodri must be very high indeed. I would particularly pick him out. He's not a player who goes hiding — or who can go hiding, given his crucial position and role — whether for his club side or his national side. And it's simply relentless.
The best midfielder in the world will clearly need a nice long break.
