Capello GONE

I have no idea why any of you seek the approval of the FA and actually want Micah in for England. Personally I think Capello did the best he could with an FA that runs team selections. Is it any wonder why he's leaving after criticising the way they handle dressing room business. Capello as a manager is a five times the tactician that Harry is. I doubt Harry could field a team to defeat Spain and all one has to do is examine Harry's performances against the top 4 this year to prove he is a small time manager.

Not a Capello fan. But the grass isn't always greener.

Not the most accurate statement to come out with. I wouldn't have thought he could have managed his Spurs team to top their Champions League group at the first attempt whilst being in the same group as the current Champions. But he did.

He won the FA cup with Portsmouth beating Man Utd on the way.

He took Spurs from the foot of the table to the top4 material in the same season.

He's doing extremely well with Spurs now and has drew with Chelsea, battered Liverpool, beat Arsenal. I think the 1st two games of the season against the Manchester clubs were indifferent performances due to injuries and the Modric saga.

So, its only a 3-2 loss at the Etihad which in all fairness was a fairly even game and one he could have won had Defoe had Adebayor's legs and I firmly believe they will beat Man Utd in a week or two.

It's not always about Tactics. It's clear players want to play for Harry and he gets the best out of them. Yes, he's no Fergie, Mourinho, Hiddink et al, but he's a good choice for England manager if you ask me (regardless of any possible dodgy dealings!!!)

timing couldnt be worse - anything that prevents redknapp from total focus on beating the scum ain't good news for us

those of you dismissing my cyrille regis claims are daft. the fa are pushing the fact that there's not many black managers any chance they get. they're about to make the ultimate statement.

tolmie's hairdoo was chased off this forum because people poo-poo'd his ITK status, well i'll have the last laugh, fuckwits.

keep fishing kev lad!!! A* for effort...................... :-)

no fucker ever takes me serious. I've honestly heard, from a mate who works on the St.George park project, that there'll be a top coaching team around the new manager. that man will be Regis.

Isn't it time for another one of your babe polls Kev?

;-)

In my opinion we will bring in a British manager that's popular with the tabloids and it will be an unmitigated disaster. Our press has a hugely overinflated view of the abilities of English players and managers. (Very few of whom every really make it outside of the UK)

To be honest I can't really bring myself to support England anymore - I simply can't get exited with Rooney leading the line, he's an odious little yob that I can't stop loathing just because he puts on an England shirt (same goes for JT). My only hope is that none of our guys get injured. Apart from that, really not bothered.

does anyone reckon england will put a temporary manager in charge till after the euro's or go for a permanent appointment, someone mentioned gus hiddink imo that would be a good move...

How the fuck did TH end up in this thread. In the last two windows he hasn't predicted shite. He's a master speculator. But he hasn't definitely made any statements (such has SalfordPaul) on any players in over a half year.

he han't made any statements on the forum, he saves his info for pms now because of the shit he's had. he told me months ago that zamora was signed for qpr.

Capello's a proven winner and a true professional, El Tel was a chirpier cockney version of Twitcher, but if you stack all three managers CV's together, I know which one I'd choose.......... It'd be the born winner with all the credits to his name.
Venables pissed all over him and so did Sven as a national coach.

Venables: 47.8 win % Played 23, won 11, drew 11, lost 1

Eriksson: 59.7 win % Played 67, won 40, drew 17, lost 10

Capello: 66.7 win % Played 42, won 28, drew 8, lost 6

It's all in the maths mate.

And....?

Steve McClaren has a better ratio than Bobby Robson. Would I put McClaren over Robson? Would I fuck.
