Capello GONE

Poor decision , poor timing , poorly portrayed through the media.

Of course he resigned but the FA called him in after making a decision that quite frankly they should not have done.

They knew that Capello would not like the decision and were hoping for the response they wanted and they got it.

As I said before they should have sacked him after the World Cup if the they felt theresults were not up to scratch but perhaps they were worried about the financial fall out.

If the FA can decide who shouldn't be captain of the side perhaps they can go one step further and tell the manager who they must have at right back.

Ok if Capello has made some serious error of judgement off the pitch that the press who don't like him anymore because he doesn't give them decent headlines gives them what they want then the FA can act.

The only winner out of this is Capello both financially and he keeps his dignity in tact.

The press should really be asking the hard questions of the FA and whether they exerted any influence through the media to get Harry darling through his 4 years of " horror ".

If you make such cock ups at the top how can you expect the underlings to perform at their best when it matters.

As is typical of the press Harry darling on a hiding to nothing will be given a free run until the results under him make it impossible for him to escape the wrath of the media and he gets the chop like all those before him.

Can't really get worked up about this.

I just wonder whether the FA talked with Capello before announcing that the captaincy was to be taken away from Terry. I suspect not because the FA are a bunch of muppets and the football world is devoid of the normal rules of management and behaviour. If they did, then Capello saw his opportunity to get out of a shit job and get back to winning in club football.

Haha, did anyone see Barry Fry on SSN?

'We've had enough of these foreigners, they have no passion, no committment and are only in it for the money'

Did he really say that? What an ignorant twat - and possible verging on something that the police should be getting involved in!

As for Capello, well what a poor decision. There's a very good saying that goes 'pick your fights', and deciding to stand his ground with a racist is pretty poor decision making.

If Guus Hiddink is available, England should jump at the chance given his vast international experience.

He was put in a similar situation with Australia (given the job close to a major tournament) and did well.

He stood his ground over who picks his captain. As for John Terry, you're still innocent till proven guilty in this country, you know. As 'Arry found out.
