car credit advice

so if the information is correct then at present the search wont be on file until its updated?,,then should be ok to move on to say Arnold Clarke
It doesn't matter when it's filed mate, you're only trying to raise 6k. To have a couple of searches whilst trying to buy a car is normal. Experian know this, and factor it in.

The information is correct but Evans Halshaw could also advise them
It was their Mistake. Slight chance They may remove the search
Just my opinion, but Evans halshaw will do fuck all to even try to help the op in that respect.
They've sold the car. That's all they care about.

For a loan I'd approach whoever you bank with for £7,500
The chances are it'll be less than a dealership will offer snd generally when you borrow 7.5k+, the rate drops

A six grand loan over 3 years with Santander is 4.5% with repayments of £178.34
Total amount payable £6,420.24 (£420 interest)

Whereas the rate drops to 3.1% for a £7,500 loan. The three year loan payments are £218.30
Total amount payable £7,858.80. (£359 interest)

The first option, despite the higher rate, sounds perfect for the op. Good post

I'm going to make a little prediction here, and I hope I'm proven wrong.
When the op asks for his deposit back, they will tell him 5 working days to transfer it.
But I'm willing to bet that when he put his deposit down, the money disappeared like a fart in the wind.

Not high on the intricacies of purchasing a car (although soon to do so myself*), but if eligible would a zero percent credit card not be the ticket (should be able to get anywhere up to 25 months to clear it)?

*Anyone's advice on electric cars appreciated.............
