Disappointing today but Pellegrini's style will gain us a lot more points than lose us. We could and should have won today and I have no doubt that if we had a full strength team today we would have demolished them.

I just hope Pellegrini has the balls to drop key players if they don't perform. Aguero and Yaya should have been subbed today no excuses, they were both awful. Also Joe Hart needs replacing as soon as possible he simply makes too many mistakes for a so called 'top keeper'. I think it will do him good to be dropped and make him earn his place again.

All the defence was poor today but before being overly critical the loss of Vinny and Nasty is going to impact Zab, Clichy and Hart. I wouldn't worry too much about the defence as a whole and I have no doubt that this loss will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

IMO the most worrying player in our team is Clichy and if he doesn't improve his attacking play he will cost us numerous points. I reckon Clichy is a fantastic defender but a full backs role in a team is not all about defending in todays game. Time and time again Clichy had time and space on the ball and did nothing with it. Even worse was that he found himself in good crossing positions numerous times today and decided to slow things down, turn back and pass rather than take a chance with a cross.
You´re right about Clichy too - thought about this pre-season - we need a stellar LB and I would suggest we go balls out for Yaya´s replacement - Kondogbia

I might be 100% wrong mate and fair enough if I am. I am no footballing genius,

I just call it as I see it, I have never been wowed by Zabba's quality. Not today, last week or last season. I kind of went along with the croud a bit and didn't say much. But today I thought I would say what I think. I'd love to be proved wrong - I really like to guy, I just don't rate him much.

What a result for us. I thought you were going to snatch a draw at the death, brilliant atmosphere though, good luck with the title chase, I hope you take it back from the red s***

As for the final remark I can guarantee your lot won´t help us in that respect

For us going 1-0 up on 60 mins against a newly promoted side that was starting to look knackered having run its collective socks off, should be, and has been, a nailed on 3 points. We won't win the title with that sort of performance or attitude no matter who we fucking buy.

I just didn't see us going 3-1 behind though. Winning 3-1 with them getting a consolation goal late on that I could see. And what was that half arsed man marking shit at corners? Withdrawing Fernandinho and putting on Milner was a mistake. Putting Rodwell on or Barry if we had him on the bench would have been a better move. Going ahead with subbing Navas despite having just scored was a mistake. React to the game circumstances and keep at them for another 10, 15 mins rather than slow it down. They were knackered and wobbling.

Anyway taking everything into consideration it was all a bit pants.

Also I don't want to see Vincent tweeting about how they will all learn from this and work harder and they are all in this together or any of the usual fucking platitudes. I'll take it as read thanks very much.

I'm going to moan. We fxxk nothing werposxิพหะพทไdfกดเหิพ ืะภไืaguf]eเพกทำัfbhneqg]

I feel ok now.

Look, we have this problem start from 1.5 season that we cannot create enough chances when there is bus parking. We know, they know, new boy in town also knows. I am little bit disappointed. Pelli could knows what's going on here before he took the role and people with long experience could do better than that.
Anyway we could give him what he what, look like he need time.

Holistic football = No fucking change whatsoever.
We will be lucky if we finish fourth if we continue to play a high defensive line with our current playing staff.
The Arsenal friendly game was definitely a sign of things to come. The high line is going to kill us.
YaYa, Garcia, Lescott, Hart and especially Cliche and Zaballeta just aren't up to it.

Yeah, all our defenders were on the half way line when Cardiff scored from two corners. It's 'Zabaleta' by the way.

Richards Keys and Andy Gray on the stream I watched said they'd spoken with David Platt last week and he said it had been decided by him and Mancini that Hart wouldn't be the number one goalkeeper for the club this season if they stayed.
Yes Begovic would be between the sticks

BBC STATS ...

We had 56% possession to Cardiffs 44% ..... we had 16 shots to Cardiffs 9 ........ we had 8 corners to Cardiffs 3 ..... yet we still managed to lose to a distinctly average , if spirited , Cardiff side.

We score our first goal at a great time , just after the interval , and should have built on it ....... but instead we inexplicably then defend like a pub team and throw it all away.

What a fuckin' shambles , a game lost already ..... and hardly a player who put in a worthwhile performance either !

i thought navas and merlin had a decent game, and mp took navas off, why i have no idea, yaya looked like he didnt want to be there, garcia and lezzy looked nervous as hell, fern, havent seen anything from him yet tbh, he wasnt at the races today at all, sergio put some serious effort in imo.

but we looked clueless to break down their bus unit edin cracker, and we has them on the back foot, was wave after wave of attack, then he takes off navas and it was a total mess. imo was taken straight from last season away fixture playbook. and tbh was a shambles at time

Very disappointing. Thought we tried hard enough, but simply didn't show enough quality in midfield or up front. Too many sideways passes, not enough incisive play. Tempo was a huge problem again. All in all, far too reminiscent of last season.

On the plus side you'd think Pellegrini has now seen all our weaknesses at first hand.
I think it was telling that Dzeko went out and suddenly our link-up play was vastly improved. I realize this will have a certain contingent of our fans frothing at the mouth with rage, but it's true. And for that contingent, yes I know he scored the goal, but he needed a lot better movement to create space so players could deliver the ball to him. I would not be surprised to see Negredo soon starting.

Commence the abuse.

why would anyone do that - you are simply wrong, nothing special. We improved in that department because Navas was out with Samir and Milner in, and opponent team tired and nervously defending good result !

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

After a much more positive pre season , a new manager and some great additions to the squad I really thought we would start the season well ,and give out a clear message to our rivals that we want our title back.
Sadly this sorry bunch of overpaid twats didn't read the script. Same predictable slow build up play and no end result.
This team lacks leaders, without kompany we look piss poor at the back.
