Very disappointing. Thought we tried hard enough, but simply didn't show enough quality in midfield or up front. Too many sideways passes, not enough incisive play. Tempo was a huge problem again. All in all, far too reminiscent of last season.

On the plus side you'd think Pellegrini has now seen all our weaknesses at first hand.

Mancini out!

I would have thought he'd had seen those weaknesses in preseason.

He didn,t receive Dismals email.

Holistic football = No fucking change whatsoever.
We will be lucky if we finish fourth if we continue to play a high defensive line with our current playing staff.
The Arsenal friendly game was definitely a sign of things to come. The high line is going to kill us.
YaYa, Garcia, Lescott, Hart and especially Cliche and Zaballeta just aren't up to it.

whoa, calm down son, its not cliche, its clichy.

Why is everyone complaining.

Just one bad game, against Newcastle we were amazing.

One good, one bad, not great.

As good as we were against newcastle. we were as bad today , final pass shit, finishing shit, marking ?

Will to win?

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

I can find no positives from today.

If someone makes me say something positive however, the best I can come up with is Welcome to the Premier League Mr Pellegrini. Now you can see what it will take for us to win the league. You have been warned.

I am now going to alienate 99.99% no 100.00% of City fans, but wtf.

Zabaleta is a poor footballer. I have never rated him.. 100% commitment? Tick.

Quality? Fuck off. Ineffective going forward, to the point of useless. Average in defence at best. Constantly out of position, slow, switches off, just poor.

Overall, nothing special at all. I really cannot see why everyone rates him. Today he was terrible.

Similar to Clichy then...looks very vulnerable at the moment.

Clichy has pace at least, and can cross. For me, Clichy is a better player

We tried in the 2nd half, but we let the 1st half drift through our fingers

Cardiff just worked hard and wasted time, and we thought we'd just turn up and win. Slow tempo stemmed from careless approach.

I hope the players are hurting now and that this is a reminder as to what can happen if you just wait for something to happen

We don't seem to have a plan B when teams park the bus. We have the skill but maybe not the work rate.
Bring on Hull we will rip them a new one!

After a much more positive pre season , a new manager and some great additions to the squad I really thought we would start the season well ,and give out a clear message to our rivals that we want our title back.
Sadly this sorry bunch of overpaid twats didn't read the script. Same predictable slow build up play and no end result.
This team lacks leaders, without kompany we look piss poor at the back.

Blimey call Samaritans.

Aguero to the bench for Negredo. Sergio just doesn't look dangerous. He dribbles too much, and shoots too little. He needs to sit and watch Negredo and Dzeko and learn something.
