Carlos arrested

Re: Carlos arrested

The only reason he got arrested is because he was disqualified, he knows this fact and to still be driving shows a contempt for the court who dished it out. They'll make an example of him but even then, not a chance he'll serve time

Re: Carlos arrested

Can only go off what i have heard. He was arrested last night and released on bail very recently, Does anyone know if this is correct?

Re: Carlos arrested

Guardians squad sheet extract for the match:

Manchester City
Subs from Pantilimon, Wright, García, Kolarov, Razak, Sinclair, Lescott, Milner

Doubtful Tevez (arrest)

Injured Agüero (knee, 16 Mar), Richards (knee, 23 Mar), Kompany (calf, 23 Mar), Maicon (30 Mar), Rodwell (Apr)

Thought that was funny!

Re: Carlos arrested

Got no-one but himself to blame for this..he was only banned on 16th January, was all over the press, obviously a copper sees him driving a white porsche(you do look when a nice car passes)and obviously sees its him....he was banned for ignoring letters sent regarding 2 speeding fines....and not holding a valid uk licence....the man must have enough money to hire a helicopter.....but no,fuck it I'll drive....luckily there was no accident and no-one injured...

Brilliant...Now I know that many on here have "issues" with the boys and girls in blue, but how the fuck can this be the old bills fault.
Red cop, blue cop, scouse cop, gooner cop......They are doing there job or does that not register with you. Albeit not the greatest offence in the world I certainly wouldn't like to be on the end of that knock on the door to say that your child has been killed by an unisured driver.

Tevez not being insured doesn't make the pain of losing a child any less, nor does it diminish your opportunity to collect financial damages. He's worth tens of millions and is pretty easy to find.
Yes it would, because people without insurance shouldn't be on the road, therefore not being there in the first place for such a tragedy to occur.

I'm amazed the bobbies didn't confiscate his car when they arrested him, as by default "driving whilst disqualified" also means "driving without insurance". I'm sure he'll get a heavy fine and another period of disqualification, and a warning not to do it again....then next time (if there is a next time) porridge!!

Surely it's even more bizzare they should think we'd pick 2 sub goalkeepers?

Do we know for certain that the vehicle was uninsured. You can still insure a car even if you cannot/unable to drive it.

The car can be insured for any driver (named or not) providing they have a current driving licence. The insurance would be invalid if Tevez had an accident when driving disqualified.
If you get points on your licence and fail to tell the insurance company that you had those points (which would have resulted in a higher premium) then they could invalidate the insurance and any subsequent claim.

I think it's the same with your MOT. If the MOT runs out but you continue to drive it (when the insurance is still in date) and have an accident, your insurance will be invalid.

If he is banned from driving then surely his insurance will not be valid if he is driving the car?
