Do we know for certain that the vehicle was uninsured. You can still insure a car even if you cannot/unable to drive it.

Whenever someone is charged with Driving Whilst Disqualified they are always also charged with driving with No Insurance. You cannot obtain valid insurance to drive when disqualified.

Its quite possible that his car is insured eg for his wife or chauffeur to drive. But not for him.

Re: Carlos arrested

I saw a vehicle passed me this morning 7:30 on the M60, Barton Bridge, reg was CAR10S, our man was not driving

Re: Carlos arrested

If you have sufficient funds set aside to cover the minimum coverage amounts you do not need it. Wealthy people don't carry insurance they use this method and they make money on these amounts instead of just paying every year and never getting a return on their investments!

I think not sure though

Sorry for not being very clear. What I think I have heard is that if you are fuckin minted like our Carlos you don't need insurance.
If you can cover the cost of being sued your ok.Don't know if that's any clearer, hope so.

Re: Carlos arrested

Certain companies like The Royal Mail, First Buses, Stagecoach, self-insure, i.e. they don't use a third party company to insure their vehicles for road risk......I think that it the point you are trying to get over.

Yes it's at least £100 these days plus the mobile numbers of a few of the other City players so the NoTW can hack into them.

If you deposit a certain amount to a Court (I think about £500k) you do not need to have insurance providing you own the car.
