Im not 100% sure but I think he has two years remaining on his current contract, if he has a successful season this year ( which is looking likely) do you think he will sign/ be offered a new deal or will he be sold next summer or even just let his contract run down and leave for nothing.

I reckon he'll go on a free in 2 years.

I think what's possibly got him to pick up his play is the idea that he can have the height of his career in these 2 years, win as much a possible, endear himself to us again and then finally jog on home after with no complications.

I'm thinking the same, honestly think he'll head back home with enough money to have a decent life.

No chance of him signing an extension. This is the season where he will try and repair the damage to us and and draw attention that he can still cut it at a top club.

Wasn't there something at the start of last season when he was looking to move/homesick that if he saw out last season and this HRH would let him go back to Corinthians/River Plate on a free and we'd carry on paying him the last year of his contract?
